The jap is now benched, we got the 2 best pitchers in the 2nd half comming up. I hope we can turn it around.

2 best pitchers???? All the Cubs fans raved about how great Zambrano was, and how he wouldn't let them down in the Playoffs. His outing yesterday made Dempsters game look good.

Z's performance was not the problem. It was the 4 infield errors that scored the runs... I think that would rattle any pitcher when the guys backing him up are playing like a bad high school team.
This will be my only post in this thread for a long time... Flame me, the cubs, lou, the fans, i dont care.. I just wanted to set the fact straight... Z pitched his heart out.
Z pitched a really good game yesterday, the infield let him down. 4 unearned runs, not too mention all of the extra pitches he had to throw
Perphaps you need to reread my post Chris. I said of the SECOND HALF. Z pitched his ass off yesterday and if the infield wouldnt of given up all those errors, it would of probly been a really close game. Pitching couldnt of been better, it just needed some defense to back it up and we had none of that.

The Sox aren't doing any better. Would have been interesting to see a Chi/Chi World series. At this point, it would just be nice to see them make it to the second round.
I still got faith in the cubs. They can turn it around. The sox, not so much. They pulled a complete 180 in the matter of 1 day. It took the cubs a week.
