Traxxas_Junkee Wrote:Oh no you mean the sox aren't in first place anymore?!?, have you checked to see where the Cubs are? and I can see being loyal to your team, but why make up all of these stupid excuses as to why the lose all the time, why can't you just accept that they aren't the best team in baseball and will lose 75% of their games.

You sound more and more like a bandwagon fan everytime you post. I am not a cubs fan because the WIN or don't win!! I am a cubs fan because I like the cubs! And if you can find one excuse that I have posted in this or any other thread I will say I have made excuses. BUT I have never made any beside Dusty and managment!!! which are both not excuses but very needed to turn the ball club around! As for excepting that they will lose, I HAVE!!!
To the cub fans.... yes, the sox are not in first. It happens. However, have you checked where the cubs are?? The sox are sitting in a good position right now. They will keepl playing fine and I honestly would be surprised if Detroit were able to keep this up. I just don't see how you can go around rooting that the sox ae a couple games out when the cubs aren't anywhere near just "a couple" games under .500 even. And Mike.... comapring teams in divisions is useless. There are good teams, and then there are bad teams. The bad teams complain about the good teams in the division. That is why the cubs always have to complain and the sox are not.....
What did that last post have to do with anything???

Thanks for letting us know the soxs arent in 1st and that the cubs are below .500..

BTW... Why are the soxs the only "superman" team in the whole league???? What i mean is , Why CANT detroit keep up there winning ways? Because there not the soxs i guessRolleyes Rolleyes Rolleyes

That must be goooooood kool-aid that they have on that bandwagon!

I'll ask again... Since as long as I can remember, people claim that the Cubs are in the "Toughest division in Baseball". How many times has that division won the World Series?

Looks like in the 70's and 80's it WAS a VERY tough division smartass! LOL!!!!!!

12 times since 1970 there has been a team from the cubs division... So ruffly 30% of the time someone from the central is in the WS
Ok, Good read, but how many are in the Cubs Division?

By the "Popular comment", the majority of them should be in the Cubs division in order to PROVE that it is the "Toughest Division in Baseball".
central division is the cubs division!
Czech-it-Out Graphics Wrote:central division is the cubs division!

I know that... lol But that list goes back long enough, that there wasn't 3 divisions in each league...

In all seriousness, I was curious. I have heard the comment for as long as I can remember, but never paid attention to who won, from what division, etc. If the Sox didn't make it, I didn't care who won. In fact, a few years ago, when the Sox got swept in the first round, I couldn't tell you who won the WS that year (Without looking at Roc's post)

WE KNOW THE CUBS ARE LOSING!!!!!! What don't you understand about that!
i think that both AL and NL central are the two toughest divisions
AL east would be hard, but the only good teams are yankkes and red sox, and whoever doesn't make it gets the wild card...EVERY YEAR
NL usually has the team w/ the highest record, but then everyone else is waaaay back...and the cubs would still have a great shot at wildcard
and AL central usually has nearly the highest record and everyone else (ecept royals) are not too far behind

and im getting really confused...is dusty getting fired or not? i've heard that he's done, i've heard that he might be done, and i've also heard that there's no way he's getting fire
so which is it?

and nebody know why ozzie was 3rd base coach on saturday?
he didnt wanna get beat up by the opposing teams fans on the first baseline....lol
Czech-it-Out Graphics Wrote:he didnt wanna get beat up by the opposing teams fans on the first baseline....lol

LLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Smile
You guys honestly don't know why the National Central Div is called the toughest? Because its the only six team division. So you have one or in one case Two more teams to contend with for division winning rights over the lesser 5 and 4 team divs AL and NL. thats why ists tough not because of the teams in it. But because you have more divisional games per team. Actually thats the wrong way to descibe it. Its because each team can hurt another in the div as well as intra conference can interfere with div standings.
Quote:nebody know why ozzie was 3rd base coach on saturday?

Cora was handed a 2 or 3 game suspension for the "Fight"

I will say SORRY for this now, but I can't resist..... How can ANY Cubs fan even think about calling the Sox a "Minor League" team after that play at 3rd base today? I almost fell off my chair when I saw the ball bounce off his head.
i bet it woulda hit u in the face too
First off, I never Attacked YOU. Second, you have no idea if I can play baseball or not. Relax, get back to insulting the Sox, not individual members here. This thread was made so we could all talk $#!T about "The other team", not to take stabs at each other. If it offends YOU that much that I make a comment about a BAD play the Cubs made, you really need to rethink what matters in life.
damn bro chill out lol i forgot the smiley face Smile
It's all good... I saw the way things got out of hand with you and Dan over something stupid, and I wanted to try to avoid that. Overall, it's just a game, and it doesn't affect any of us who wins or loses. It's just more fun (for me at least) to watch the Sox win and Cubs lose.... Smile

Gotta make sure there are some Cameras ready when the Sox take 2 more games from the Cubs.
Oh no we gotta win the series at home!!! Hey as a cubs fan I'm allowed a lot of wishful thinking. And I may be wrong here but didn't we sweep last year on the northside series? Like I said I could be wrong.
No, Last year, it was 2-1 each series. 3-3 overall.
