In those 8,386 wins, is a recent world series win. Something the Cubs haven't been able to boast about in 100 years.

BTW, who was it that beat the Cubs in their last WS appearance? Oh yeah, it was the Sox....
wow you guys were good 100 yrs ago, how you doin lately, couldnt even post a winning record with all your prime WS winning talent
Speaking of a 100 years ago...

Cubs and sox both in second now. Really though czech..... we get it. You think the sox were a FLUKE (not flook) and nothing will ever change your mind on that. It's a good thing everyone is entitled to an opinion.
I was going to vote, but I dont see the "I dont really care either way" button...... *Waits to be pelted with baseballs from both sides* Wink
Just trying to bring some life to a dead ass forum. Dan theres a difference b/w being in second in the best division in baseball, and being in second in a division with one team over 500....
Go Cubbies! What the hell will we do when we do win a world series? Cubs fans will be lost. No more lovable loser identity crisis!

I wasn't taking anything away from what the cubs are doing. They are playing great ball as I have said several times. You can't change what division you are in. If the sox are playing well enough to be in second in a crap division, fine. It's still second. Just like first will still be first when the playoffs come around no matter what the record is. There have been years when the sox were in the best division with the twins and indians kicking ass...... but second or third then was crap too. It's all relative.....
I'm unbiased as I don't care for baseball. but I think both groups of fans cry about how they hate the other team. who cares it's f@#$in baseball, we're not making 40 million a year to play with balls. So why waste so much time and energy worrying about Who WINS or who doesnt. *shrug* Just my little take on the situation...

Thats pretty much my standpoint. So much man-brain is being used for batting averages and other baseball related stats. I never really got those guys.
For the love of the game my friend, guess you wouldnt understand
Mike, I love ya Bro! but you know I have to do it.lol. Dont hate, Appreciate!

You and I both know it is the other way around, either that or you have never been to a sox game lol
haha, Now come on Mike. you know I have been to a SOX game. But it was years agao when Bo Jackson was a player. Actually I used to be a Cubs fan when I was young. My gramps used to watch it on TV and listen to it on the radio. I believe Jim Frey was the manager then and Lee Smith was the pitcher and also I believe Rick Sutcliff was also a pitcher. See I was a CUBBY at one time. By the way, I have 80% of the Chicago CUBS and White Sox cards from 1953 to 1985 still.

Judging from that pic, you might lose an arm trying to get a ham sandwich from that Cubs fan...
