I got a new (used) motor also. OS VZB w/ novarossi bearings. 1.3gal old.




I havn't gotten a chance to run it yet because as usual my peice of shit dubro glow ignitor was dead despite the fact I just charged it 2 days ago.

What happened? The wheel to far up and it is just shredding?

You'll like that engine...they run strong!!

no, that happened cause I left it spinning because im using a worthless peice of garbage of a glow ignitor that says its charged when it really isnt.

I got it running... and had a run away. My motor mount is shot.




How am I gonna explain this one. I've destroyed more shit in my backyard with this CRT in about a gallon, then I ever did with my maxx. :o:

I'm sure a little bit of that green i've been throwing around will make up for it. :p:

That pic is priceless!! Hopefully that motor runs well for you. (And that sticker looks good on the box. Custom made by tune and installed by freeride.) As for the runnaway... cant help you.

Runaway = low Rx battery? failed failsafe?

I had a bad runaway with my Maxx because the Rx pack died and you need electricity for any type failsafe to operate correctly. I'd suggest fabricating some kind of throttle return spring set up. It must be strong enough to over-ride your servo in case of any power loss.

It was a combo of my RX pack dieing, JR servo glitching, and servo horn coming off.

loctite is a wonderfull thing, so are chargers. Run aways are usually 99% user errors, not mechanical failures.

I wen't to LH, turned out they didn't have the motor mount that they said they did, so I got a different one, got everything charged up, and now the clutch is dragging. :mad:

is it the clutch that Dan had on there? that is a rigged clutch and clutch nut. you may want to invest in new stuff. (clutch nut, clutch shoes, springs) YGPM

I got those king heads parts. There very nice. Im running the extended motor mount and its the bomb diggity yo. I would invest in a mugen clutch with either .9 or 1.0mm springs. This clutch is the shiznit dawg.

Thats what I wanted and they said they had it at leisures, but when I got there they said they didn't. Thats about the 5th time thats happened, and I don't go there very often.

You wont be dissapointed in those king headz parts though... I have a LOT of there stuff on my LSP and all off it shows no wear at all

I got the OS .21 VZB tuned... this thing FLIES, and the temp is at 185 w/o body, so hopefull when I put a body on, it'll get into the 200+ range.
