ya the greevo came in i think 4th or 5th broken. That means i beat everybody but 3 or 4 people with a broken truck. And my truck broke in the first 5 minutes of my main so thats says a lot about a drivable truck when its broke.

Man I watching your broke Revo around the track. You drove that thing damn good considering it had a broken pushrod. You got some skills dude.

no i dont have any skillz otherwise i could have won. Its just a drivable truck when broken and it happens to be the best mt for racing when not broken either so its a good combo to have. I think half the race me and george were battling for positions and my truck was broke. I couldnt believe how slow he was driving lol jk. Couple times i hacked ya and im sry about that george but half the time i couldnt steer either because the truck would just dart to the right and i was countersteering it most of the race. Definatly was challenging but i cant wait to see how we do once both trucks are working right.

I'm confused. It's great that they're coming out with the center diff. Since there is only one brake, and it's on the front end of the center diff, how will braking be affected, and what if you have a quick turn? Is there a plan to add a rear brake giving the ability to adjust the front/rear bias? I think I'll play around w/ my buggy and disable the rear brake to see what happens.

Oh, I found this. What a price for what you get!

The HR quickturn looks attractive for half the RD price. Let us know how it works out for you.

That's the problem with the Revo center diff as it stands presently.

It won't work with a quickturn, of course, as there would be no brakes at all. And with the stock Revo, you would only have front brakes-no good either.

I think it will only work with a new chassis design. One extended fore and aft of the tranny with an additional brake for the rear added.

Also, the Hot RAcing quickturn is still more expensive than just making one yourself like I've done.

traxxas hasnt even said anything into details about the center diff. The only center diffs your seeing now are just home made ones. If i know traxxas there gonna have a new diff case along with the center diff to add another brake in the rear. And there is no need for the one way driveshaft if you have a center diff. The main reason of comming out with that driveshaft was because the revo never had a center diff. Im sure traxxas is gonna do this the right way as they have with everything else. I doubt they would leave something as critical as a rear brake out.

sotach whats wrong with you. You should be advertising the rd racing quickturn since your sponsored by them. I wouldnt buy any quickturn unless its the rd one. He has sold hundreds of them, maybe thousands and i have never heard of even 1 going bad. That says something about what your paying for right there. One time buy and im sure the quickturn will outlast the truck.

Lets see: 5457 Brake Yolk, 5452 (x2) Ujoints, 5458 (x2) diff yolks, 5454 stub ax, 5450 half shaft, granted you get the OWB from that place (Bruce, whats the companies name again) for $12, you'd end up paying 50 bucks. The HR one would end up $41.04 with shipping, plus you can pin it for full 4 wheel drive.

I don't know... If you would sell me the TRX parts for less than retail, I'll buy them from you (anyone) and build one.

i would just get the rd racing one. Its expensive now but it never needs maitence and will outlast your truck from what ive seen and heard. Nothing against bruces cuz it works well but with the rd one its a one time thing. Just buy it and your done.

I've never had a RD QT before so I wouldn't know but, can you mod it to accept the "pin" like the HotRacing one? drill a hole and tap it ....

Mich, you gonna replace that driveshaft you took off my Revo ? LMK if your gonna have one tomorrow.

Mich, The pin Tex is refering to, is on the HR quickturn, there is a pin that you can put through the QT to lock the front drive shaft. you could then have a quickturn front end for racing, and a solid axel for bashing, with nothing more to do than add or remove the screw.

Well, I just talked to Ray about his center diff for the Revo.

You have to use the stock front drive shaft and you only have front brakes. However, because of the lube in the diff you do have limited rear braking.

He brought up a good point, when you brake the majority of the braking is done by the front brakes in a traditional setup. I think using his diff set up would require some adjustment for some.

If Traxxas does indeed offer a diff kit it will have to include a new tranny case and a rear brake set up.

... I thought front wheel braking is what you wanted to limit.... I.E. quick turns???

It is Rocco, that's why a center diff without brake bias adjustment is generally not considered a good thing.

So i am to believe that until traxxas comes out with thier completed center diff. then a quickturn is the way to go?
