Mike hes fixing his truck from kissing he wall! ZING!!!!!

twice...
Zing !!!!!!!!!
Lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!
ok, Well I am back home, and WOW alot of back stabbing... LOL

First off by no means did I mean the track was bad or dangerous, so if anyone got that impression you are wrong. The walls are plenty far enough away from the turns. But as my GOOD friends stated previously 'I Cant drive". This is true, I had alot of mechanical issues to sort out, clutch radio etc.

It was meant as a joke about the mattresses and tires, since the guys there where laughing at both smacks I made because they where really loud, as we all had a laugh at the track about it. If you hit the walls you deserve to break as I did because the track is well designed and thought out and plenty roomy enough for all drivers driving under control.

I am sorry if my joking comment stirred any pots.
i don't care about walls i wanna race!!! hehe! and can we cast a vote for a target on the walls! might be an idea if your running in last place!! that track looks awesome! any clue one operating hours, or is that tbd?

btw i guess i will be hitting the wall often then!
I can't wait... I just want to beat tommy. It's going to be a challange since hes running buggy and has more racing experience than me... but hay its a goal...
George we knew you didnt mean the track was bad, we blamed you, not the track! LOL!!!

George, I honestly thought you might be offering constructive advice on the corners at the ends of the straights. I can see where a 35mph impact will mess up a truck. Never having set tire on a track I don't know, and can't tell from a few photos, if the turns or really so close to the walls that they tend to bring the end wall "into play" during racing. I'm sure in the heat of racing more than one truck will get bumped into it.

I liked the idea of some "barrier" at the end of the straight, and Bernie did reply that more tubes for the corner are planned.

So sorry for any broohaha over my interpretation of your comments as less than jokingly intended. I couldn't see your smile when you typed it..

When I build my RC track (dream on) I'm gonna use Daytona style high banks on all 90 degree corners so the racers can get it WOT more!!!! Not that would be fun to see. Dave

dan, my track experience consists of about 4 races total, and 3 of those were with my losi! i've only actually raced my buggy once, and i was pretty toasted when i did, so you have a fighting chance!

also dave, i doubt you will ever hit the wall, a banked 90 degree turn is great. they have one at the showme track in st. louis. you can hit that thing at WOT and still make the turn. but thats outdoors and if i hit that indoors with a runaway straight on. . . lets just say you could def. try for highest mark on the wall!!
That's 4 more races than me. haha... My track time consists of a few laps with a RC10GT, a few with a buggy, and 3/4 with a T3 before my super rooster fried. Should be fun though...
How do you guys plan to race buggy vs. MT? just in practice?
yep!!! he'll get stomped! or if we have a chitown night like tune was saying, do a run-what-ya-brung race?
Yeah.. chances are I will lose. My guess is that we are somewhere close on driver skill but with a buggy v mt race the MT generally needs to have a much better driver. It will be fun competition though...

I see. It will be a Dimo Derby!
whats wrong with that dave?? dan i have a little bit more skill(i think) only 4 races, but 2 weekends of practice hehe! it will be fun and thats all that matters!!(bulls!@T)
I think the chitownRC race will be a trophy race open to everybody.

We may all have to come up with a couple hundred dollars (total) to bribe Bernie into opening the track on it's off day (Monday night) for just us board members. Those are FUN times though. We did 2 nights like that at the last track. We called them pizza parties..lol

The walls can only be hit if you don't slow down coming out of the straits or if you simply don't turn. If you brake at the end of the strait and foloow the course (turn when there is a turn) then you should be ok. I gently slid into the wall (sideways) once in about an hour of running, or about 60 laps. I'm not that great of a driver
Well this is good news to hear the track is coming along, great job Bernie. Due to the 14 hour days I have been working for the last 2 months I have not been able to help. The guys that were able to enjoy the track over the weekend as a fun day you are very lucky. I'm looking foward to racing after the holidays are over.
MaxxGS, sent you a PM dude.
Yeah, the chitownrc race will be a trophy race open to all. I'm pretty sure we'll try to setup at least 1 pizza party too. Those are super fun! A little test and tune session for board members only Smile.
Trophy race would be fun... it would be cool if we could do a MT class and a buggy class and then maybe an open...
