I thought it used bearings..... The fact that the motion isn't completely rotary though means that bearings are not necessarily the best option.
the stock application uses bearings.
Bearings would still give you a smoother rotation even if they don't rotate that much. I would also think using bearings in that location would prevent slop created by using bushings.
bearings get sloppy after a while also even if they are still functionable

If bearings are stock, I'd go bearings (After emailing K-heads asking why the bushings were used)
they said that the stock bearings have a tendency to freeze up and bind crack whatever in that situation making the bushings a more reliable choice
like I said the bearings might be too weak in that application........just a guess Wink
Bushings are zero maintenance in that location, as well....if they are good bushings, they seem like a smart application.

You took the words right out of my mouth. The bearing may offer slightly less friction initially but I can see a lot of racers wanting a more reliable option....
Sorry if I paraphrased what was already posted. Didn't mean to...

and bashers Big Grin

My steering has been hanging up lately... might be those bearings.
I was thinking it could of been the house you hit not to long ago causing steering issues.
doubt it
could have been the doulbe backflip down a 30 foot hill and 50 cartwheels untill finally landing tire first into a tree stump at the bottom lol.

All the more reason for bushings over bearings. Big Grin

Im not going to deny the 30ft hill, 50 cartwheels, or hitting a tree... but I have not done a double backflip yet :p:

Wasn't that Revo2k that jumped into the soffit???? Gotta go watch that again! POW, right in the kisser!
The problem wiht the bearings and the stock ackerman, is the stock akerman is only 3mm thick and the bearings are flanged so the bearings flange would snap off on a hard impact. There is a new 4mm ackerman made by jammin that prevents this from happening. I have been running the 4mm in my buggy for a while yet and zero problems, but when I had the 3mm I did break a flange. So this is my guess why KHZ went with a bushing. You can still use a bearing with the khz arm though.
id go bearings in that nice ackerman!
just don't hit shit and your stuff wont break
John i saw someone with a replica of ur body on the pics thread on the grid lol
my stuff looks goooooood
so how was your crt george? How do you think it compared to the lsp? Any pro's con's on it?
Miks I think I need a new scheme...
can you get it done in less than 8 months
smart ass, i bet i could
