Anyone going to LHR this Friday who runs Nitro.

I think Friday open practice means Nitro or Electric right?

I ask because If I have some problems I have some guys there to help me out that I know from here but may not be by face.
Im going tonight.
ill be there testing stuff fri night.

bern any chance i can bribe you into a timing session?
Firesprink and I will be there tomorrow night also.
Okay Kewl...I have met slim, tune and one other I forget

So Slim--when ya see me intro me to some of the ppl.
and Yes Again I will be wearing a Bandanna
Has anyone been there on a Friday night yet ? I need to break-in a motor and would like to do it when the track is somewhat empty.
Rich, Bill and I went last friday, and it was prety slow. The closer to open (5:30) that you get there, the slower it is. You should have no problem breaking-in.
Cool thanks dude. I'd probally get there around 7 since I gotta come all the way from Barrington back to the city and then head out again. =(
this thread is being merged into the leisure hours thread....Anything that has to do with LHR or the Hobby shop needs to stay in that thread. Thanks!
I take that back, we went last Thursday... I'm not sure about Friday's.... Sorry. lol
I see how you are........=P

merged into LH's thread
this is being merged into the LHR thread
lol
Quote: Instead of a thread why not its own group like off road and on road.

That's a good suggestion. There should be a LH section. Having one thread for ALL LH talk can get confusing. Especially in the "Who's going when" department.
Hey... I found the thread! Tex playing hide and seek? :p:

Anyway, Neil just called, sounds like he can't make it tonight.. was called into work. Anyone know how to hold a camera? Tex how shakey are those hands? heheh

See some of you tonight.

Brian
Good point guys, the idea of seperate sections for the topics Biodragon has mentioned is in the works.

Tune, is testing out some new software for a smoother, better version of a message board.

Please be patient and things will get worked out. The number of members joining in the last few months has increased and alot of things fell alittle behind.

Thanks.
all in favor of a LH SECTION with its OWN topics say I

I

we don't want a lH thread evertime someone wants to meet someone there. The truth is that all those threads have some sort of usefull info in them because people start asking questions about track stuff. As an example, people will say "do I have to run a body on the track" in some thread about meeting there march.14th or whatever.

If people didn't get off the headlined topic so much we wouldn't have to group everything together. But as it sits now everything gets off the main topic of meeting up and it turns into something else about LHR, not the actual meeting time/date.

Don't blame me for the way it has to work, blame everyone who gets off topic.

Having one single thread will work. If you want to meet up at LHR say Jan.22nd, then post that and start a list for Jan.22nd.
Here's an example:
"who all is racing Jan.22nd? add your name to the list
1. Tex"

Then someone might have a general question (that could potentially help many members) and instead of going to the LHR thread that is designated for those types of questions they just ask the question in your thread about meeting people up there.
It happens in EVERY LHR thread that is opened, that's the whole purpose of making ONE LHR thread instead of 10 different ones floating around.

Does meeting at LHR pertain to LHR? YES!
Like stated when the new ChitownRC message board opens it's doors it will have it's own LH forum, not just a single thread like this one.
These things take time and to many people just want it now. If you had any idea how much work Mr Tune has to put in to make leisures own section and get everything to work properly you would see it cant be dont by the snap of YOUR fingers. But more importantly we wouldnt need leisures own section if you could just stop the people from going 2-3 pages of just 2 people talking back and forth and making these thread 100 pages long. You need to talk to them before anyone else. Now to get BACK ON TOPIC.
Hey guys... sorry in advance for the Newbie question here.

I am over in South Bend, Indiana and there are no tracks around here. So I found you guys buy looking for tracks over in Chicago area, and my question is this.

What are all the spots in your neck of the woods? Looks like LHR rocks!

Thanks for you input.

Eric
Theres no stupid questions here, Everyones a "newb" when they first start out and this is what this thread is for. Answering any questions anyone has about Leisure Hours Raceway. Probly about 98% of the people on this board will be racing at Leisure in the summer and winter.

Leisure has an on and offroad track outside and one indoor offroad track. Its a brand new facility with its own hobby shop inside. Other track around this area are at least a good 2 hour drive. Something closer to your area would be Hardesty Raceway. Hope this helps you
