Pullstart or No Pullstart
#26
when you're taking that Knub off don't slip and hit the portion that the rod bushing sits in (where the rod slides onto the crank) or you'll have accellerated rod bushing wear

I can get you a backplate & do the mod for you before I ship it out...lmk

How much more do I need to send you $$$ wise? Do you have any use for the pullstarter? Let me know what you would like to do.

Thanks Jerry!! Confusedalute:

Here is the part you need...

All you must do is remove the 4 head bolts, the 4 pullstart screws and the 4 backplate screws. Remove the p/s ( noting its direction in the block) and push the crank out the back of the engine....

Then you simply remove (dremel) the small nipple that the owb locks into and your done... Clean the crank throughly with brake clean and reassemble ...Confusedalute:

About what I figured....

And I try to give advise when I know the subject. If you notice my only motor advise has been not to put a BB in a revo. Big Grin

I would have asked even if I KNEW the answer...I wouldn't chance wrecking a new $200 engine either....it never hurts to verify what you aren't 100% certain on.

And does a NR oneway bearing really connect directly to the crank, or does it have the little 'lollipop' item that sticks thru the backplate , like a Traxxas 2.5? I've never seen inside a Nova engine before, but I hope to someday....
