That is about what I did:
1. Plug wheel holes with tape.
2. Get running water warm/hot.
3. Get tires wet and squirt some Palmolive on the tires.
4. Scrub with old toothbrush
5. Rinse.
It all comes off. I think that the dish soap is mild enough to not damage anything. IF I was to remove the tires from the wheels, it would have taken even LONGER. 64 Screws to take them off......64 to put them back. I guess that it is the price to play.
I really need to find the wife's camera to post the "new look". This new body is sharp....if only I had better painting skills.
