jhautz, where are you located? anywhere near Woodstock?
Downtown Chicago in the West Loop. Anything in Northern Illinios is considered nearby IMO. I go far and wide for RC.
BTW: CrazyP is right. The plastic spur gear holds up way better to brushless torque. The metal on metal just doesnt seem to work well in these setups. I think the plastic is Kknda self lubricating and doesnt wear anywhere near as qickly. I ran a metal spur for a little while in my 1/8 brushless conversion. I think I got 3 packs of run time on it and I had a groove worn down the middle of the pinion gear. I switched to the plastic Kyosho and have never had another issue. The plastic Kyosho gears are tough as nails.
EDIT: and besides that.... The plastic gear is much quieter than the metal on metal. Who wants a noisy 1/8 buggy. If I wanted that Id just run nitro.:poke:
