It should have servo tape under it, but if it doesn't, just take your time and don't screw up. Seriously, if you're junking it anyway, why worry about getting it off cleanly? Just don't break anything on the chassis. If you can get under it, the wire sounds like a fine idea.

BTW, the aluminum foil trick RCDad uses will prevent the FBI and NSA from tracking your car from satellites! Big Grin
