Trust me on this one... You get a larger down pipe (either 2 1/2 or 3") and run that with a reducer through the cat and stock exhaust. Then you have a second option... to have a remotely operated actuator that opens a gate on the side of the down pipe. This allows the exhaust to go through the larger DP and then vent right out into the air. For normal driving you leave it closed and run through the stock exhaust where the extra performance isn't needed. I originally wanted a nice stainless exhaust but why spend the almost $1000 more when I can get better top end performance while staying sleeper?? I want my car to look stock. Heck I'll leave the bike rack on there...
