does anyone have one that knows if its hard to build? are the directions good?

Bump boxes are pretty easy. Skill level 1. Instructions. Put electric motor in mount, bolt mount to box chassis, wire battery positive terminal to external on/off switch. Take positive lead from on/off switch and wire to pressure switch, then route positive lead from pressure switch to electric motor. From electric motor wire negative lead to negative terminal on battery. I'm too lazy to write the wiring for including an external charge lead to charge the gel cell up.

Even the pro kits aren't hard to build when it comes to skill level. Time consuming though, but not hard.
Yeah comon, you gotta be dumb as a box of rocks if you can't assemble a starter box.

Get the mugen, either from Joe or bmain has 'em for $80 plus shipping.
yea I mean even Chad put his together
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This is a simple wiring setup using a simple on/off switch. It should be pretty easy to understand. The charging leads on the box are ALWAYS hot in this setup. There are many other ways to wire it to make it more versatile, adding a power panel to run a glow plug, etc.... external inputs to power the motor in case of a dead battery (always a plus)

id rather just get the ofna one. i heard its strong and will turn over almost anything. and i dont got to put it together.
i dont want to mess with any of that stuff, ill just play it safe.
A 12v gel cell doesn't have enough juice to harm you. Give you a very painful jolt yes, but its not that bad.

Wanna see complicated look up the plans for microprocessors or the wiring diagrams for modern cars. Smile Tracking a missing ground in those is a pain.
no i dont mean like get hurt, i mean building it wrong and then losing $80.
heres all that i got and what i am planning on ordering tomorrow:

Mugen Mbx5t Prospec

Mugen diff gaskets (heard to double em up)

Ace ds1015 for steering

Ace ds1313 for throttle

Thunder Tiger metric hex wrenches

Jammin Jp-3 pipe

Spektrum reciever

Piranah charger

2 Venom 3300's for starter box

Ofna 1/8 truggy box

Elite 1500 reciever battery

How does that all sound?

And i need is an engine which is prolly the werks .28.
gell cells arent the way to go, pic up the AE/ttr box with a pair of venom 3300's and u will be dialed. Look at team helotes for the 2600 mah receiver backs cheap and great quality
Buy all the plugs you're gonna need for the pirahna charger...
i only need two, the tamiya that comes with it, and the reciever one that i have. And i got the teamhelotes 1600 on order now.
My gel cell was $12 and lasts for 2 or 3 weeks on a single charge. The twin stick packs have more umph but won't last as long as a gel cell. If cheap is what you need a gel cell won't let you down.
mine are going on 2 years, charge them once a week before u hit the track. Lighter and less headaches
do you guys recommend the hanger one? thats the only one ive ever heard of. Is that the same as a 12v battery?
the stick packs are like 7.2V a piece
ya i no but i meant is a gel also called a 12v because the box says it accepts 2 stick packs or a 12v battery.
yes

motoxer....dont need the extra gaskets in the diffs, mabey the oversized orings from amain, just get mobil 1 synthetic bearing grease and put it on everything and you will be golden......i have finally got mine to hold really good, over a gallon on truggy and diff was still full....dirty and burnt but still full. lol
lol, do you got the part # to the orings then? and where do you get that bearing grease from? and last what do you mean by everything? like every single bearing? or the diffs?
o rings.......

they didnt quit making it you stupid fuck they came out with another one
i thought he was talking about the ones that were on sale at gay-main....and reguardless of new or not still no need for that in a 5t.....thundertank mabey. Wink
