it will expand with the heat so you dont want to overfll, just to the cross pins are covered.
I agree. I only fill to the cross pins too. Any more and you're over filling it.
Sorry Dave, I guess I was wrong.
Well I know motors those sizes are not known for going easy on fuel. But I just dont want a motor that is going to suck down the fuel in a insane amount of time.
get a p5x, its a proven winner good on nitro and tons of power for the heavier truggies. You can find them for around $250ish

Plus its easy to tune and if taken careof 6-7 gallons is not unheard of
I just got a p5x. I love mine so far... I had a slipping clutch that was causing me problems (TTR Black shoes! Boooo!)

After a massage of the needles it came off the track at 220 and had plenty of power to over jump the triple...

... And hey, it was fast enough to be TQ for 5 mins! LOL!
wow let it go....LOL
lol! just sayin it has the power to get the job done thats all
I was pleased to see the ST clear the triple with little effort with the stock motor. And it flew nice too, didnt have to really correct it at all.
p5x? Picco 5 port?
p5x is a novarossi mill.
Maker : Novarossi
Model : P5x

Im not a picco fan but many swear by them. So im sure there is somthing good about them...

I used to run SH brand engines . They are tawainese made and make plenty of power. They dont have as long of a lifespan as a higher quality mill Like and o.s or italian made mill

OK, now I feel like I've worked on an RC...got the center and front diff's degreased and filled. I'll move to the rear diff tomorrow. Looks like no practice on Thursday nite. Sad
I honestly didnt really mind how the truck drove. So I might leave it alone for now until I get off my lazy butt and change it lol

Just bring it to work and work on it on your desk! LOL! j/k
alotta guys liked the grease in the diffs i just dont think it holds up so i changed it
Hold up how? I know I will change them out. Just when is the question. I believe I will have it done before it is time to go indoors. Plus I might do the same to the ST as I am with the revo. Which is build a couple of different diff's with different oils. That way I have the extra diff's already built incase I lose one on the truck. And if I need to make a change because of the track. Just switch'em out and back to the track I go.

Forgot, what do yall think about those modded motors I have listed there a few posts up. I have already had a EB modded TZ and had the case split on me,yea could have been just my luck. But still, leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Think it is worth the money?

Or "work from home" today and finish it Big Grin. Gotta love salesmen's hours.

I can tell you the grease I flushed out of the diff's was already looking pretty thin, and with time it was just going to be plastered around the edges of the diff cups, with little protection for the gears.

The cheesy grease they used reminds me of the cheap stuff you get in cardboard tubes for your grease guns. Stinky and brown. I'm glad it's gone.
Casketman, you just had bad luck with your TZ. You could have sent it in for replacement and it would have been free of charge most likely.
