It wasnt wrapped with a sock lol. Just took some foil and left a small hole in the top to shoot the temp gun down to see how it was running. Never stalled, never sounded like it wanted to die.
sock and foil
Well finally got it to get over 200. Had to lean out the HSN about 3-4 turns and then it held nice around 209-210. Got up to 212 at the highest. Took the foil off near the end and it only dropped down to around 205
3-4 FULL turns?

Sounds like you got it where it should be now....perfect temps
Yea,did just over a full turn on the low just for the hell of it. It is still spitting all over the place. Plus I am using sidewinder fuel. So double the oil
Finally got around to finishing up the diffs. The back was loaded. The front was not so much. And the center looked bone dry. But all are filled with oil now so we shall see how it works this weekend
Since not everyone has SGrid access, I thought I would copy/paste this info about Richard Saxton's ST-1 setup for indoor tracks. Get out your checkbooks!!!
______________

Saxton indoor ST-1 setup:

I ran the BCE chassis, that makes a big difference,

I also use the S3 rear shock bodies on all four coners, but use the ST-1 front shaft, pistons drilled 1/16th.
Front oil 35 rear oil 60, caster all the way forward.
Front tower top hole outside, front arm outside,
rear tower middle bottom, inside on the arm.
Front spring ST-1 black also use that spring in the rear.
Diff 5000, 10,000, 3,000.
Gold sway bar in the rear, silver in the front.
Camber link inside and up on the tower, hub outside and up.
Caster forward. Hubs in the middle

Make sure on the front shocks no shock boots
Why no shock boots on the front?
becuase they are using the rear shock bodies on there with the front shaft, so there wont be anough up travel with the shock boots on there.
Gotcha.
some picks of the BCE TTR ST-1 protoype Chassis and Brace at the Nats.

it's extended right?
yup pretty sure
yea it is
1 inch or??
what rear driveshaft does it use?
i believe its 1/2 inch I dont know about the rear uni
The Lsp rear uni...
+1 on what Rocco said they are useing the LSP uni on it. Saxton said that the truck handled so much better with the chassi over the stock one.

I just cant wait to get one when ever they get made who knows when that will be with all the other trugs that are out now.
Isnt bill cradock making them now?
