mine are already on order Smile
Oh, you saw it already?
Mike I thought you would just go out and make your own, I dont really like the way hes got the top brace going all the way to the top of the diff top plate.

But other then that they do look nice
I was in on helping him get the materials for it. Id like to see how the truck is with really stiff chassis bracing
do you notice alot of chassi flex with the stock ones on it
also what starter box are you useing for your S3, I have the ttr one but I cant get my buggy to line up on it for crap
im using the ofna one for both. its tough, take the motor out and do it its much easier

i think there is quite a bit of chassis flex, but i also think that helps the truck in the rough
Ofna what, cool I'll just have to mess around with it a little more

Your check went out today $$$$$$$$ fill that wallet up again lol
alright thanks man

its the ofna box thats for like 3 different cars the AE or TTR ones will work just fine they are the same box
What are you running for diff oil in the st1
7-30-and anywhere from 3-1 in the rear depending on the track I have been running a mix of 3 and 1 lately
cool thanks man
Well time for the ST-1 to get a new heart. Brother-in-law pulled the cord to far and it broke. And no start box that worked well on it so my day was done, then again. It never really started. But it was out on the track and I enjoyed how it handled. So new motor time,I think. I cant find a back plate for this motor! So I think I might save some money(going to be a rough time money wise soon for me) and just get another stock motor,non-pull start. Not sure what I will do with this one I have now. Save it for a back up,or put a new pull start on it and sell it for $100 or something. But strong motors,I like.

If I have the money(or just feeling stupid and say F it!) What would be a good motor for this thing? I am not one that likes to deal with 3-needle carbs. So basicly a motor that keeps it simple yet has some balls to keep me in the race. And doesnt suck down the gas like it's water either.

*EDIT* F-bombs are alittle much....
Big power with good gas mileage? Let's see..............not.
I would suggest ANY desent .21 motor. A p5x, Radical, RB,O.S.

Also if you want to go with a less exspensive mill The xtm 24/7 pro, mach 26 or any sh made egine will give you some great power.... But all these are bigger displacement motors...
a vspec or an RB would be great
Or a WERKS........
wow didnt see that comin
How full do you fill the diffs with silicone fluid? Is it the same level for all three?
I fill them up to where there's about 1/8"-1/16" left at the top, because when you put the last gear in there the fluid rises a bit more.

All same level for all 3.
So, you want them darn near full-full.
Yeah.
I just put all the grears in there and fill them until they are covered with oil then run it, or if you dont have the grears all in there I would say half to 3/4 full and you should be fine.
fill the diffs to be just over the spindles
I usually fill to the cross pins
