It was a Joke Tommy. I didn't say YOU used that excuse, but a LOT of Cubs fans did. They even had a "Break the Bartman curse" event in which they destroyed the "cursed" foul ball.

It's all good. In the end, the team that fights the hardest will win.

i wasn't upset sorry if that post seemed that way! i hate all the curses(goat bartman etc.) it's all b.s. we need better players! i think instead of fans going to get drunk i say we boycott wrigley until we get a good team!! the owners will never put a good team on the field if their still gonna fill the seats everyday! if only 5000 people show up maybe they will get the message that we want a winning team and not just a team that we can watch while getting plastered(is fun though). i do not, in my heart, want the sox to win the world series because being a cubs fan will be a lot harder! we already get chit just for being the fans of a losing team, i do not need to get more chit because they won the series! i have never gotten in a fight over a baseball team but i'm coming close! next year will be even harder, because the sox have made it this far! good for them but don't shovel this chit in my face! i will never like another team because they are winning(nothing against anyone on this board) like i said in an earlier post the bandwagon fans have come out in force because they are this far! we will see how many fans they have after next year if they don't get this far again! btw why do the sox want journey to sing "don't stop believing" isn't that what cubs fans have been saying for years!!!!!!!?

that was an awsome game, i could care less who was playing! when i left the bowling alley it was in the 8th got to my friends house it was in the 9th left her house in the 11th got home and they were still in the 11th. and it's a 10 mile drive each way. amazing game. have to give it to the astros for hangin in that long

I fell asleep at the bottom of the thirteenth inning. Had to look up the score this morning. It was a tight game. Best world series I have seen lately even though the astros are gonna get swept most likely.

That was history in the making. Too bad there was another bad call (the Homer). Luckily it all turned out fine, and it was fun to watch the Astro Manager swear and throw chairs!!!

He does have a slight temper problem, I'd call going 14 innings and only getting 4 points each till that point something for both teams to be proud of, that would make one hell of a game!

I think that just shows hes human and doesnt want to lose... I wouldnt say its a negative trait too have... Ozzie is one of the most annimated manegers in basesball... I think i kinda like that..... No, i KNOW i like it better than what i have to watch.... Dusty's old fat a$$ just sittin there suckin a tooth pick while another game slips away... I think a manager that shows his guys hes pissed at there actions will make those same guys not want to dissapoint there manager.

Did anyone see the astro's manager throwing a chair around in his dug out? He wasn't too happy I guess when they gave up 5 runs in one inning, lol.

It's one thing to have emotions, but another to show complete loss of control. I know the players and coaches are all adults, but there is one HUGE reason that they should show control.

When kids watch the world series, and see managers throwing chairs, and Bagwell throwing his bat like a hatchet, all they see is that it is ok. There should be some type of punishment for unsportsmanlike conduct. Fines, game ejection, suspension, etc. Something to show that it is wrong. Other sports have rules about sportsmanship, what excludes baseball? Kids learn from what they see, why not show them that such outbursts are not right?

And the cuss-fight across the diamond between a player and the MANAGER! Across the field!!! These guys need to be fined.

NBA basketball has a no profanity rule, so does tournament poker. Why should baseball (America's Pasttime) be exempt?

Last time i checked you cant hear them... I kinda get a chuckle when you can read there lips though... I dont think everything needs to be so "p.c."

You could clearly make out what they were saying back and forth in the dugouts. F you you fat f**%. That was one of the comments I was able to lip read.

Fines for that kind of behavior are needed.

So Roc, with our guy leaning out over the dugout fence, screaming across the diamond, and their manager screaming back, you think no fans in the stands could hear what was being said? On TV you can't, in person you can!
