PoPRC Wrote:My truck couldnt handle that CSRC ramp, plus my son and I's inexperience jumping ramps like that made the damage worse. The grass drags were fun, too bad I lost in the first race of the first round. Damn throttle linkage.
Our truck had no problems with that ramp, it was the ground we had the problems with!!! It still didn't stop us from trying. That's how we learn.
a course with cones would work for about the first 1-2 secs of the first race Wink

being the "bashers" we are we cannot stay in no stinkin' lines. Kinda like a 3 year old and a coloring book Cool

LOL, Probably true. Mb some of that Black PVC Flexible tubing would help that. But I dont know where you could get it or if it would be inexpensive.
i'm sure we could all throw down for some(tubing)it's just getting it there and storing it would be the problem!

Tex,

Again, you are right. I am starting a collection of "JULIE" flags, the kind you see sticking out of the ground around construction digs. By spring I hope to have enough to mark out a simple "track". That along with some small cones, staked in place with stiff wire, should give us something to run around. My only other thought is to also use some chalk paint like they use on sports fields to indicate a course.

Now if somebody has a pickup truck and 50-100 2x4's that we can borrow.......Big Grin

And we'll need the bed of the pickup for a driver's stand. Or bring your own milk crate to stand on!!

If 50 guys each grabbed their 50' garden hoses from their house and brought them out for the day, we could do it!
got the truck! whoes got the 2x4's! garden hoses is a great idea!
I just wonder how the Forest Preserve DIstrict would feel about us grinding their lawn down to the nubs with 50 racers going at it for 10 hours?

I suspect we'll find out!!!

No Cops, right Tex!!!
usually the cops show up at least once during our bashes. They usually don't say anything (except one cop who made all of us stop running). We just got lucky last time they didn't show up.

The cop that made us stop running said
"no motor vehicles in the park"
I said "what about my electrics"
he said "does it have a motor?"

kinda seemed like he was just trying to use all the "forest preserve police" powers he had. Rookie
does it have a motor? lmao!!! he wasn't a rookie he was just mad that he left his stadium truck at home!

Yeah, that was mine. Thanks for the compliments guys.
That is my beginners ramp....not to steep, but you can still backflip off it. It's a little easier to hit at full speed too. :p: Nice and rigid but light enough for one guy to move around easily.
Yeah it looked like it was light. Me and my brothers can make some pretty good ramps.(actually my older brother can make them better than I can) We use to make them all the time for our bikes and rollerblades.

I just wish I was able to jump the ramps. I don't have any at my house.
Make some UEM!!!
Hehe Smile
Yeah, anyone that stayed as late as I did, did you notice where my glow igniter went by chance? It was a red one with a 3000 cell in it...I think John has it but YOU WON'T ANSWER MY CALLS! :p:
That's why you put your name on everything, or some identifying tape/paint. Especially on those items that everyone has one of, like Duratrax temp guns!!

ORC,

Your avatar reminds me of the photo of the Hindenburg crashing, like on the Led Zepplin album Big Grin
yeah I think it's a cool azz avatar. Super nice truck all broken to pieces..lol
if it aint broke, you aint running it hard enough!!!!!
+1
but it's a revo, they never break!!! j/k hahahaha no seeing those things run makes me want to buy one!! huh b-day is in 14 days i wonder if my parents love me enough?
sell all your stuff except your buggy and buy one.
i would buy a jammin truggy instead of a revo.
As long as it's Birthday Wishes, get both!!!

I agree, Mich, the Jammin truggy looks well built, but at $550 less motor and elec's it should be.

Maybe the RTR HPI Hellfire at $600 is a good value?
