when I get tires that grip better on my truggy I want a rematch against the greevo! That greevo is quick and setup nice.
you want a rematch? I dont think so. I won fair and square so i have nothing else to prove. Im done.
well if you really want to sure
Lots of fun guys and nice to meet you all. Alot of cool RCs out there. I felt fortunate that my tape and bubble gum operation made it through most of the afternoon. I think I could have gotten pretty far in the grass drags had it not been for my throttle linkage popping out. Whoever that first guy was I dragged I had him. Oh well live and learn, next time I'll be ready! I got some pics too I'll post tomorrow. I gotta make a repair list: One lost dogbone, one burned thrust bolt, one broken body mount post, somehow I tore open the side of the left rear tire on the inside edge, and a broken or loose motor mount. Not too bad really.

that was a great time, only got about 3 tanks through the 9.5 but those were some fun 3 tanks! i wish i would have hit the ramp a little bit more but oh well! still haven't even looked at the buggy since i left so i don't know whats broken/not! btw thanks for the servo arm tex thanks for the info about e.p.a. and for organizing this whole thing! also anyone get a pic of me getting worked over by the truck? my ribs still hurt!
It was a good time. And they were right... I would hit the big ramp. I managed to snap the screws that hold the wing upon landing and somehow moved the motor. It is really tight though and I stripped out one of the screws trying to loosen it. Time for a new wing mound and some new screws.

The grass drags were a blast. I came about as close as I could have to michowski. We were right next to each other and in the end I think I ended up driving under him. Pretty crazy. Not to bad for having 0 time to tune my motor. I showed up and ran. Twas a blast.
Lots of fun today even though I broke kinda early. Huge turnout! I was pleasently suprised to say the least.

Thank you all for such a great bbq and bash today!
ok started tearing down my buggy, first thing i noticed and put on the list all new bearings(what and where should i get these) second new diff fluid(what weight should i use f/c/r) also what are the pros/cons of using torsion diff i might decide to get them if their worth it! new shock fluid(also what weights should i use), thats it for now!
bearings are relativly cheap for buggies.. they are all the same 8x16mm and there are 18 of them total. Some people like to run the most expensive ceramic bearings they can find. I just buy cheaper bearings and replace them often. hell I use bearings taken from kits that people part out on ebay. diff fluid try some 5/7/1K or 3/5/1K. torsens are big $$$ and can cause twitchy handling plus there is more maintence involved because the oil needs to be changed.
I had a blast! I experienced quite a few motor gremlins though. First my clutch bell screw backed out, then my midrange needle screwed itself IN! This made tuning difficult until I found it. Then It was running great, but refused to shift gears. It worked fine last week. That Berwyn is like the Bermuda Triangle!

Well I finally got it to go fast enough to jump the big ramps and somehow manage to loose a dogbone. Why do people say the Savage is so tough? ANybody want to trade for a Revo?

At least my Herbie the brushless buggy performed well! Actually kept up with the nitros for a little while. Great times guys!

When is the Winter Berwyn bash?

It probaly sheared the dog bone... I went through like 9 this season! The racers edge bones stop that problem
Hey all. Yesterday was a fun time. I didn't really get to mix and mingle since the wife had me running errands all day and I showed up toward the end, but I definitely want to come out for the next one and compete. Only problem is all I saw was people running nitro and all I got is electric, so guess whats on my wish list for christmas?!

I'll have to get to know everyone on the boards and then I'll see you guys agaiun in the spring (unless a Winter Bash is possible!)

PS Who was driving the Love Bug? I was just curious what you have under the shell? Was that a MiniT with a gas engine?
Yeah... good times... just need to fix the buggy now. I think it will be relatively cheap. Just the screws for the motor mount and a new wing mount because it has 2 screws snapped off in it. Hehe... Buggy fly high.
hmm.. the only Bug body car that was there was Mikeh's HPI Electric MT. 1/10 scale 4wd.

Battery powered cars are welcome Cool
Oh, I was the guy in a black fleece vest with a maroon shirt, goatee and stach. I came right when the drags started and stood off to the side about halfway down the stretch. I was only there maybe half hour. Like I said, I was running errands and sneaked by to watch. Came home late with the groceries cuz of it. Tongue
oh, ok... cool....
