Drag, no Friday Night Lights...grrrrrrrrr

Our football game was canceled also, but it was supposed to be in minooka. My soccer games yesterday and today were canceled.

We have just gotten a little rain down here in Champaign. I did get a call from my parents though telling me how crazy it was. Power out everywhere, flooding, huge trees down, possible micro-bursts or brief tornadoes..... crazy. I heard that they evacuated some of the upper levels of buildings in Chicago too... I know they were saying thank god for the generator.

LHR was pretty sweet last night..Haha....Some of the signs lining the backstraight on the onroad track FLEW away...

Only one time the power went out the whole night and that was for maybe 15-20 seconds.

That blows. I hope it comes back on for you soon.

We're the only block in our area that has power.

That's all my house is powering I believe. My Dad was all worried that the 30 or so pounds of Bison in our freezer would go bad, not to mention that the beer in the fridge would get warm....

We had a limb take out our power thurseday afternoon and we're still without power when I left the house at 9am this morning! Dad thinks we got hit by a microburst, it just suddenly hit out of nowhere, and was gone! I've spent the better part of the last two days cleaning up the branches in the yard and playing gofer!

You got that right Tune! Worst part was the VXL-3S system came in for my Pede last week and that day was the first chance I had to pay for it and I was nearing the end of stretching my WK too! I had an ithc do worl on a plastic model, but then I realised that flammible chemicals and open flames didn't mix before I tried. I finally got around to installing the VXL and finishing the stretch last night before the sun went down, but I couldn't get to the body until it started getting dark, so I had to mask it and spray it by electric lantern light. Let me tell you, that body turned out pretty damn good considering I painted it black, with paint I had laying around, during a black out, at night, using a $15 Wal-Mart Electric lantern and moonlight to see what I was doing after 10pm last night.......................................

You know Zack, I went to Menards the other night to get some lag bolts and they had lines of people buying generators. All I could think was how many are going to put them in the house, right next to the appliances they're trying to keep running....................
