Hello All
#1
Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been browsing the boards here for a while, and just joined. Rocco gave me the heads up on the forum. I met Gabe at Leisure hours last Saturday night. I own a decked out Savage and GS Storm SUt Pro with a Rossi Black Magic 21, a GS Storm SUT RTR, and I just sold my ofna 9.5 MBX I am going to be buying a Kanai 2, 3, or 777spq1 have not made up my mind. I live in St Charles, and am the President of a Off Road RC club the Dirts Dawg's. We race every other Sunday (done for this year) and we have 40 members right now.

Looking forward to sharing thoughts and info with you...

Welcome to the boards. I am also new to the boards myself, only been around a month or so. I have recently picked up the RC bug and I am enjoying myself with the new hobby, much to my wifes dismay. I saw some of your members in a SlapMyFro video I think, some of your members mad the journey to FHF.

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

We currently have 2 tracks in Elburn and 1 in McHenry. We are working on building 2 more in Elburn 1 for sure. The for sure one will resemble Fisk Hobby farm in Minnesota. We are a club, we left someone come out once, then if you want to race again you must join the club. Otherwise its no sense being a club. Its kinda like a health club, they give you a trial and then you have to join to continue. The other reason we do this is because we race on a points system alll year so if we allow non members to keep racing it kinda screws members out of points.

that makes sense but what if we have our own club already? Like CSRC? I guess we would just pay you the $50 for the year to race then represent our own club?

You have any pics of your tracks anywhere?

Tex,

we could always do something like we talked about at LH. A club verses club type of an event and do some sort of trophy or something that the club holds til the next time we meet. That would be something other than our points series race.

Welcome.... I like the idea of a club vs. club event... I'm sure that between both clubs, with all the members, (and parts laying around) I'm sure we could throw together a pretty cool RC Trophy.... Why spend $$$$ on a trophy to pass back and forth, when we could make one...

im all for it as long as its a friendly tourney. I think both clubs should hang out and stuff and like once a month we go to leisure and have a 5 on 5 race. Which ever side has the most laps total wins. This could be fun

That is the coolest idea I have heard in a long time.

It would all be in good fun. We have our awards party on the 6th on Nov. I will put the question out to them and see what we come up with. Do you guys just race MT's or are their some 1/8th scalers out there. We could run a few different classes
