Why not just do it at home? It takes about 3 seconds! And you won't have to worry about it then!
You guys need to check out my new pit bag! Total cost is like $3 and it holds both starterboxes, my buggy and losi, 8 tires, 1 JR xs3! The thing is huge, with wheels!!!!!

My revo boxes are in the landfill. After talking to gabe he said that every time one of his ervos has stopped working he just waited for it to dry out and it worked fine. I will try to balloon my reciever but since it is siliconed to my chassis it may be interesting. Oh well... LoL

LoL dave. We had THAT discussion a while back on here. Several contemplated using them...
And Dave about how far are you from roosevelt and finley?? (So I can judge time to pick up the ramp in the morning...) Thanks.

Drew I am not sure if I will have the ramp picked up before you get to my place or not. If I do we will just chill at my place for a little bit, if not you can ride with me to get the ramp as it is kind of the other way from the bash. I am not too far from you and I am only a little bit out of the way of the bash... (Can't help you on the aurora part.)

I'm not sure about whos all planning on hitting the ramp but I'm not. I'm racing Sunday and may not even drive the revo at all Sat.

It will depend on how much cash I have... If it is nice out I will probably at least hit it small. If I will have time to get to the shop if I break something I may jump big... I will play it by ear.

See this is where I step in and laugh at you guys! I live in Bolingbrook, napervilles ghetto stepchild! It would basically be on my way! lol. J/k I don't think that ramp will fit in the explorer!!!!I'll be at the bash around noon so. . . !

01-26-2006, 04:54 PM
Hey Dan....want me to bring an x-factor ramp too?/will it fit in the truck too? I know it'll all fit in our super huge truck lol...J/W...
Yeah, so if the gates are open, then we head to where the october bash was, and if they're not we bust out the bolt cutters?....Um...I mean....We bash from in the little lot out front? If we do bash out front...Then I think we should throw the ramps up in the street and land in the grass....easy to hit then, and easy on the trucks. I think if I don't sell the buggy by then I might bring it and see how far/high I can get with it. Anyone being camera man? Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

extended... I will probably put all of the RC stuff in the bed and get it all tied down since my buddy may be coming with (thubbed one) that way we have the back seat. When we get to hooters I will flip the seat up as I will have matt and his RC stuff as well. (that way we can have it locked up) You are following though right??
01-26-2006, 04:58 PM
Yeah, I'm still in for hooters and a ride to there and home. You figure out how much gas cash I'm shelling out yet? lol....

The Dave ramp is 36" wide and a full 8' long with a long lead in transition and fully adjustable from nearly flat to nearly vertical. You can find some angle to hit with soft landings, I'm sure. Trucks don't take an abrupt whack when they hit it unless you have it cranked up steeply. Even then it pretty smooth. Just bring your largest fishing net and catch the trucks before they slam violently into the ground...............I mean land.
PS: you guys will remember to bring this thing back after Hooters and 1000 beers, right???
01-26-2006, 05:03 PM
Since it is 8 feet long (and my dad's truck doesn't have the long 8 foot bed... we have the 6 1/2 foot one) then I guess we will need to run it upside down with the long part hanging out or something...
Matt... bring what you want. It should all fit. If not we will sell it. LoL No... it should all fit. Drew... yeah there is room if you guys end up riding with to get the ramp... |
