Two rumors:
They are running a race tomorrow, with their old PVC pipe track setup. They will be closing for good end of this month.

It should be at all franchises that you have Hobby Cards at, I'm not too sure how yet, but I managed to ge the day off tomorrow.
I haven't heard about Niles closing as of yet, but it's been a while since I've talked to the owner of that store. When I worked at Toys "R" Us there was a rumor that went around from time to time that we were closing up shop. The customers would get really pissed when they found out we weren't closing and marking things way down.

HobbyTown in Crystal Lake has been running some onroad races for over a month now and will do so til the weather gets to cold. Hope to see some of you out there, it's not much but better than just running in the street and such

We will be running on Oct. 15 and 22, stay tuned or shoot an email to [email protected] to get on the mailing list. We had an event there on Sept. 24, was really fun, gonna do many more. I taylor/favor to monster trucks, but any time we can get a bunch of guys together, especially for an END, the more the merryer-er-er.

2 more at hobby town, next 2 saturdays, but MANY more in the comming months. We'll be in Devil Lake, Wi on Nov. 11, 12, and 13 for a gathering, and maybe one in early December.

I appologize to everyone who may have showed at HTU in Niles, the shop owner bailed. This is weekend is the last possible event I will be attempting with them. Besides their closing up shop anyway. So this is the last shot, Oct. 22 @ 1pm. After that we'll have to hit up the Berwyn Bash, Can't wait!
