I just bought a used b-box for $40. And it's designed to work with a car. It's not a rigged up deal. If you haven't tried one, try it before you get into the hockey puck deal. That starter wheel really pushes hard, and I can't see holding the car and the drill-puck starter well enough to make it workable. It seems like its gonna be a two man job. Now if the vice idea is how to hold the starter drill steady to allow the car to be placed on it, then it might work, but it not gonna be portable, which is what you really want.
Like I said before for $40 you have it made.
