Of course a box of roofing nails would solve that.

Wait! I know. relay races with RC cars. You have to drive the car down, and then push the cone back. lol

Actually you'd be surprised at the number of people who would stop to watch that.

Sweet, I wanna see it. You'll have to bring it out. I'm still wrenching on the OB4. I can't really run it though I've gotta yank the tank out and find the leak. I could probably use some CA glue to seal the leak wherever it is. I think its leaking from the fuel line nipple on the tank.

replace it with a new tank if you want to save yourself some frustration. If you can't find a new tank, try a different model/brand. It'll prolly bolt right up or you may have to drill two holes in the chassis.

Unfortuantely the tank mounts to the upper plate and is a smaller tank. already tried a HPI tank and it doesn't fit. I would need to take the dremel and grind away at the graphite and I'm not sure if thats a good idea right. I don't want to crack the upper plate, it'll be useless then.

I just hope the guy that stoped by talking about his Mad collection of 1/4 and 1/5 scales shows up with one. Those things are just wicked.

I should have the inferno GT running again by the weeknd. I'm tossing in the stock engine and running that until I ge the cash for somethitng sick to drop in there.

Bill you can cut and drill graphite with no problems. I've used the dremel to cut and my DeWalt 18v drill for holes. just use good sharp drill bits.

Well, today is the day of Baja. Seems I forgot to take pics of anything else. I was awed by the punishment it took..

My desire has been renewed, I must have a Baja 5b! Click the pic for pic goodness.

We had a shitload of people there today, LOTS of watchers and LOTS of big accidents. Everytime the baja went up it crashed. Had a head-on, Nitro 4tec vs 1/8scale buggy. Neither won, 1/8thscale broke an A-arm, well the 4tec we won't talk about its dust..

Drag racing to the extreme. Raced Johns inferno GT and it was about dead even. Raced a Hyper 7 with a hyper 21 8port and very slowly walked away. Was very cool today.

The OS 30 ran great and the jammin was practically flying. HUGE speeds. Killed the truggy by snapping the rear toe block, it was plastic though time for a KHZ order. Smile

He's not on this site I don't think. But he goes to Al's hobbies all the time.

He's got a Baja, both the Moser buggy and truck, and a MCD 1/4 scale. Every single one of them except the Baja is hopped up to the max.

He brought like 17 cars.

From the pics and movies this looks like it would be an awesome time. I think I finally will have a sunday free and be able to get out there on the 15th.

2 questions:

1) Are you guys planning on being there this weekend?
2) My RCs are all electric (brushless Maxx and brushless Revo) Anyone else out there with electrics? Is there any available electricity for charging (besides my car battery?)

If there are going to be people there I am planning on heading out there this Sunday to check it out.

Car batteries are the order of the day when charging stuff out there, no accessible outlets to use in the area..

We are out there every sunday noon to dusk. Though we will be taking a break for the hobby expo weekend as we will be there both the 21st and 22nd, (sat and sun)

So we'll be out next weekend (Sun 14th), but the following weekend we won't.

If you are coming make sure you make it there by 1:00, us regulars take all the good spots. Smile

A few things to remember for the bash to make the day more comfortable. Smile

A work table or work blanket if you have to work on the ground.
Chairs.
Something to drink...

Oh yeah, don't forget your RC's. Smile

We do have snacks on hand (chips and drink basically). The bash has bee getting bigger, and bigger. I imagine that when we start it up next year after the snow clears and people start using the preserve again it'll be a huge crowd draw, we generally have about 100people during the course of the day just stop by and park their ass for a bit to watch us run. Cars in the road literally stop and pull over when we start high fly jumping.

We ususally pick up a pizza or 3 at the end of the day. We don't do it earlier cause it would be a nightmare and its harder to collect money for it then. Dominicks usually gets us cheap deals, sometimes $7 for a large 16" thick crust pizza 1 topping. We get anywhere from 2 to 3. I usually bring drinks, generally its coke. Sometimes we go out for dinner afterwards.

Problem with cooking there is we all love to bring so many RC's theres not enough room for a grill as non of us own a truck! Smile

Well if I ever make it out there, I'm bringing a small grill and cooking throughout the day......a bash ain't a bash without a grill smoking away. Smile
