You forgot to link to the old thread.
Old thread

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - Tex - 09-12-2006

Just keep it all one thread? why the separate threads? Technically it's my job to merge threads like these together to make one thread.

I don't think it's a big deal just curious why the new thread besides "too long" cause to me a thread can't be too long. A long thread means there is a ton of interest in whatever the thread is about.

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - Whitey04 - 09-12-2006

merge it then, we just figured it easier to start a new thread so people would have to jump though 6 pages of posts to find out whats going on. I know it could sound stupid but convience is key.

Come on out and join us! Its a great time, good people, fast cars, and all the nitro you could handle. Come on ChitownRC, let see some busse woods LOVE (and not the kind of woods love you might be thinking "guitar chords from deliverence")

Well, its time for the weekly revival post! Tomorow's sunday, who's gonna be there?

Got the Jammin, and I threw the Force 26 back in it while the OS .30vg is under repair, the two Infinity .27's I ordered should be here next week. So I might have two buggies running, 1 with a 2spd tranny. Big Grin I may even get ambitious and paint the STi inferno GT body and mount it on the buggy to make the rally conversion complete. Not that I did much.

I ordered two Infinity .27's because well, at $70 a peice its not a bad price! Suprasales on ebay is the seller. Nib infinity .27 3ports for $70, and he is selling the 5port version with a pipe for $135 or so. Supposedly these motors are good for some insane RPM. Guess I'll find out. At $70 I don't feel too bad though. It'll make a good backup basher mill for me so I can put the Force .26 back in the ultra Comp 2 and sell it as a RTR car.

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - roc_sky - 09-17-2006

i be there with 2 buggies ^.^

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - Savyboy - 09-17-2006

We had a soggy meeting today but the diehards were there .
We did have a runaway today. That was some entertainment for 5 minutes.
wathin 5 grown men chase a 1/8 scale buggy in the grassy field.
Every time the would get close it would turn and take off in another
direction.
It finally stopped by hitting a curb and broke the A arm.
ROC_SKY lost his AA battteries out of the battery holder.
All in all good fun.
Gene can apply as a weather man now because he said the rain was south of us and the little sprinkles were disappearing on the radar.
But he was way wrong.

Rain schmain! We were out there anyways! Haven't run that fast in a while! But when allen's run away buggy got on concrete I knew I couldn't catch it. I was close, but not close enough.

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - rawkfist2 - 09-18-2006

Hey, where is this at? Like what town. Im in Cary IL and only 15 so cant drive yet. Anyone drive through here who would pick me up.

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - Thirdgen89GTA - 09-18-2006

You can follow this link, the entrance is on the left side of Beisner rd, in Elk grove Village.

This map will get you close as there isn't an exact address for the Busse Woods entrance. Once you enter Busse Woods, we will be in the 2nd parking lot, just look for the easy up tent near the trees. If you see an X-factor ramp and some RC's.
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&addtohistory=&address=%5b800%2d821%5d%20Beisner%20Rd&city=Elk%20Grove%20Village&state=IL&zipcode=60007&country=US&location=xxVlfvkgmxWM9UqOI95Sdegpr43NrmML2BefoQmAhECHDSAnQy7AUWKqJeIQ7TenZhfvgxXbbrNBvi7ciUbaV5vmcui5sNELuklvbmO2KYUykn6ot7XlFhw72NNn5ZzA01jMsBJLwwMGyV5O%2fAD7zwca0zAWhfyQ&ambiguity=1

As far as someone coming to pick you up, that is a bit difficult as I am the furthest north of anyone so far, and I'm only in Buffalo Grove, IL. Everyone else is south of me so far.

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - Thirdgen89GTA - 09-28-2006

Yay! Me have OS 30 again! The Tree is going down!!!Confusedmash:

Last week I broke....nothing! Had some funky tune stuff where the engine went from running at 240* to 300* So I retuned it which was fun....NOT!

So, I've only got the Jammin now, the two other buggies are in various states of modification or repair.Big Grin

So, any new people interested in coming to watch a buggy vs a tree you're welcome to watch. There will be many attempts.

If I can get some tires on rims I'll hit up LH on saturday me thinks for open practice. However, sunday I will be at Busse, even if Berwyn goes on sunday.

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - flsprophet - 10-02-2006

This is the first time that I got to go out to Busse for some good ol RC action. I got to meet some cool people and see some sweet rc action goin on. My thanks to all for a good time on a beautiful sunday. Hopefully next sunday I will have my axial .32 in and ready to go for some serious bashing.

Axial .32 [Image: rockon.gif]

Yeah, we had a big crowd, the flyers are circulating and it may end up getting larger still. At one point we had probably 20 to 25 people just start camping out in the grass watching us run the RC's. It was great weather this sunday.

Andy I got my new truggy. Big Grin [Image: burnout.gif]

New Busse Bash thread (old one too long)! - Thirdgen89GTA - 10-05-2006

It LIVES!!!! Or rather not for long. ^_^ Tree Attempt #42 is scheduled for this Sunday, October the 8th from Noon to Dusk. Watch as one man attempts to hit the tree as only 1 other has done before him.

Or watch as we generally screw around, inhale some root beer scented nitro fumes, and have a good time. I still have 7 more tanks of break-in. Big Grin

Drag racing, curb hopping, tree hitting, cone killing fun. Heck, perhaps we should make an auto-x course with cones for RC cars.Big Grin

Met alot of new people last week, forgot alot of names too. So you should all show up so I can meet you again for the first time. Smile

Trying to get the OB4 Pro running with the OS .18cvr, but the clutchbell doesn't fit on the shaft so I have to do some work arounds there. But perhaps I can get it together and see how fast a OS 18cvr can push a 1/10th scale on-road.
