Why can't they just play ball, instead trying to win so hard because they are in the playoff. And being crushed by LA is just a shame.

Dodgers Kuroda (sp) pitched very well last night. The batters were baffled.
Dodgers had the Cubs number.
What do we say now?
Next year. Just wait, next year.

I wanted to see the cubs do well. I actually did. I wanted to see the sox and cubs in the series (as everyone did) but I more importantly didn't want to see either of them swept out in the first round. I'm glad the Sox picked up a win at home. Hopefully they can get one more and force a game 5.

Its fucking pathetic is what it is, as much as I hate to say it im pretty disappointed with the fans that were at those home games, you can really tell they were not regulars, there was no energy in that place as if they knew it wasnt gonna go well

you blame the fans? Really? Really...........???? C'mon dude. Id like to blame this years choke on somthin too but the fans??? The team gets paid millions to play, we dont get paid to cheer. The fans are not the reason... I know thats what they said on nbc, cbs, and channel 7 but if you listen too any sports radio (like i do, like 8 hours a day!) That truely wasnt the problem. They were flat, no fight.
I know your going to say its because tickets cost so much is the reason the crowd was old and quiet. The truth is playoff tickets around the league are that expensive! Everyone and every team looks too make a buck at this time of year.
The blame can only be placed on the players not performing and IMO the coaching staff managing eyes wide shut and banking on star players plying like stars even when they are walking 7 guys a game, missing routine infield balls and swinging like rusty gates at the plate.
I love ya cubs, it was yours to take but once again im left here heart broken. Maybe next ye...... Naw, Fck that.

Believe me I listen to 1000 all day too and thats why I hate to say it, but I even said something the first two days when they were playing at home just didnt seem like wrigley.

The fans were the least of the problem IMO. It was the guys going 3-27 in 2 years of post season that fucked it up. It was the infield that gave up 5 runs in 1 inning just because of bs errors. It was lack of any offence and defensive errors that gave the games away. The only thing we had that was worth anything positive was the pitching. Our pitching was actually good this year. They all pitched good games, they just didnt have any defense to back up any plays in the field. If you eliminate the errors and all the routine plays the cubs CAN make, then think of how close that score would of actually been each game. At most it would of been 2 runs for the dodgers. Errors and lack of offence gave the games to the dodgers, nothing else.

By all means I am not saying the fans were the problem, the players were the problem no doubt, and I wouldn't lay any less blame on them. What Im saying is where was the Wrigley crowd, the Wrigley fans, the Cubs fans, it just didnt feel the same. IMO all 3 games were boring pieces of shit and there was really nobody excited to play....except the dodgers. All Im trying to say is how weird it was that a team that has the greatest fans in the nation, to have a stadium so flat. Look at all the fair weather white sox fans that showed up for the black out bullshit. When you here players talk about the crowd and playing at wrigley they always say how great it is to play for the fans here. For example when the cubs were the WildCard and played the Braves I believe it was Derosa who said when the cubs came to take infield in Atlanta the place erupted from all the cubs fans who were there super early to see them. Seems like this series everyone was too caught up in expecting a world series, and I really think most of the dick head fans that were at that game felt it was owed to them to see the cubs win advance etc. Just thinking out loud I guess, but I want to be clear I dont blame the fans for anything the players did. I know none of the players will blame the fans etc, but I think it is possible that they had something to do with maybe some of the guys being uptight, just seemed like there was no spirit out there

Did you guys hear the Cubs are sending Pinella to First Aid training? They want him to learn the Heimlich manuver....
Sorry, Had to be done. I know we Sox fans don't have much of a leg to stand on, so feel free to let it fly.
