For most, epa's and trim is usually enough. I've got the M11 and it's has an insane amount of features that can be adjusted. So far all I've setup is the epa's and trim, lol. Oh, I also figures out how to work the lap timer feature.

Spektrum discussion - snakebite46 - 01-07-2006

M11 and other high end radios do have many more features. But, for what you guys are using them for is good enough. Ifyou decide to get into racing seriously, then you might wanna upgrade to a 3pk, M8, M11 or Helios.

All the options the M11 has is sometimes confusing. EXP, ABS, Speed, EPA, Dual rate, Gain etc etc etc......

Spektrum DX3 is a great radio for the price simply because of the spektrum. You dont have to worry about buying a seperate module too.

Spektrum discussion - Blown5.0 - 01-07-2006

So to you guys that are already running Spektrum I have a question. I'm wondering if you run the reciever wire inside the body of the trucks or do you still have them extending out the body? I read with the Spektrum you can run the wire very short compared to a regular reciever wire.

Spektrum discussion - dentguy92 - 01-07-2006

I run mine inside on my LSP... never had a problem

what about on your buggys? in or out?

Spektrum discussion - slim - 01-07-2006

i have like a 3 inch ant tube. thats all.

Spektrum discussion - Ponch - 01-07-2006

That's like my selling point on spektrum is that how short the antenna is lol....

Spektrum discussion - UE-Maxx - 01-07-2006

I have mine completely in the antenna tube with a cap thing on the end. I plan on just keeping it inside the body.

I was reading the DX3 book and it seems to have a lot of stuff compared to the stock radio. I'm not saying the stock radio is all that great, but I don't know what most of this stuff is. I already set my epa's and some other stuff. And if I ever really get serious about racing I will probably get an M8 or M11.

Spektrum discussion - destroy_my_revo_15 - 01-07-2006

i think that the dx3 would be good for me because all i use on my xr3i is the epas and trims and the lap timer if i get bored :racing:

Spektrum discussion - UE-Maxx - 01-07-2006

Forgot to ask, can you set the failsafe different for each model?

Spektrum discussion - cemeb4dk - 01-07-2006

yes I believe so. but its been about 8 months since I set mine, but I htink it is when you bind each receiver.

always set your failsafe to idle, this way if you leave your recvr on. the servos will be idle verses full brake and this will burn out your servos wuickly

Spektrum discussion - UE-Maxx - 01-07-2006

Never thought of that. If I re-bind it, will I lose any of my info stored in it?

Spektrum discussion - dentguy92 - 01-07-2006

your just binding rx nothing will change on the tx

Spektrum discussion - UE-Maxx - 01-07-2006

Thanks.

Spektrum discussion - dentguy92 - 01-07-2006

no prob....

Spektrum discussion - snakebite46 - 01-07-2006

I have the antenna sticking out alittle on the buggy but not past the roof line.

Spektrum discussion - destroy_my_revo_15 - 01-07-2006

does anyone know when ultimate hobbies has the 209 deal for?

Spektrum discussion - Ponch - 01-08-2006

We'd probably have to call and ask.....

Spektrum discussion - Notochord - 01-08-2006

didnt crispycritters have it for 210??

Spektrum discussion - Ponch - 01-08-2006

Not on their website it isn't...(like it's not there at all...)

Spektrum discussion - RCDad - 01-08-2006

Someone said they were taking back orders since I believe they are out of stock now.

Spektrum discussion - Mr. Tune - 01-08-2006

I run my antenna wire inside the body too. No problems.

Spektrum discussion - Michowski - 01-08-2006

inside the body for me
