why, please tell!!!
novarossi or RB and be done with it.

Some people are getting decent life out of the Werks and OS motors, will you be some people or the unlucky one?
Meatwad Wrote:why, please tell!!!

I just never liked the way it ran....I only got about 1.5 gallons out of it.

you cant be unluck with O.S. becasue as long as the engine has been in production in the last 2 years they will get you back running, i have seen O.S. .30's that had no buisness being fixed under warrenty get fixed, as GTA he sent in a worn out as hell beat up O.S. .30 and they are going to fix it for free, or replace it. all you have to do is send it in thru a hobby shop and your good to go, no ?'s asked
o say o.s .21vg imo its great for the money(150)
OS' warranty is great! I've had a great experience with them as well.
Im the unlucky one then. They wouldnt warrenty my first os .18 when there bearing blew at 2 gallons. They said I didnt do the after run on the motor correctly and said screw you basically. I guess it took a few thousand more people to complain about the same problem before they stepped up and took care of people.
NOVAROSSI!!!!!!!

Tell them tex... My truggy was flyin with just a p5x!
your P5X is not of this world grasshoppa..............your truggy had flames trailing behind it going down the straight
he said your truggy is flaming.....
whats wrong with the .28 JB?

LOL! Thanks bro!

Blow me jb...... Cant even text me back but you can bust on me on here.... Sniff SniffWink
Ill give a big +1 for the .21bf motor. Also in my MBX5T I'm running the same VZB that I got for my Mayhem St a few years back and with a little tuning help from Tex its ballistic also. Good luck with whichever you choose.
Mikey, remember its Bonie tuned. Its gonna last just over gallon. He prolly had the head mounted on an angle and the o-rings takin off purposely to make the engine lighter per George's recommendation. Wink

"Rocco, full throttle into the corners!!"
RB for sure man......my engine got up to 415* and was ran that way for a whole tank....(due to a huge arileak) and nothing was screwed up. still runs great. i have 6 gallons on it and still can just barely turn it over by hand. O.S. and RB are both great, i own both brands, i hear novas are awesome, i have also heard that werks are good too, but i alosi heard a few complaints about the werks, but i think they straightned those problems out with the PRO.

RB gets my vote the most though
^^^ ur learning kid...Wink
Well not everyone can afford, or really wants to spend like 200 to 400 dollars on an RC motor. When they are just club racing on the weekends...I would probably opt for the 150 dollar engine. instead of a Nova that costs like 300 or w.e
u dont have to spend 400$ on an engine I dont think anybody here except for chad does. You get what you pay for is what it all boils down to. Spend 200-250 on a RB Nova Werks or even a vspec for that price can be found and you will be happy with the quality.
well I was just saying I don't see the point in spending 200-250 on something Im not going to use to its full potential, I'd like to have something like that but I can bearly afford gas. ^__^

Plus I don't have that much experience tuning and all of that and my luck I would burn it up or break it in wrong. So I feel more comfortable buying a 150 dollar engine instead of a 250-300. Lol
j dub, all of the options we have been giving are in the 150-175 range. the rb s5, nova bf, werks b3, and the os vg. are all excellent quality ,non taiwanese and fall in that price range. sure motors can be had cheaper but as far as a quality standpoint that is the best list of 150 dollar mills you are going to find.
J-dub you should have said that part in your first message.
For a first engine that cheep one will do so you can learn to break-in and so you can learn to tune it right (although most people at the track will help you tune your engine), other wise get the more expensive engine.
