Horsepower DOES increase/affect top end but gearing/final drive ratio will have a much bigger impact than even a 100 hp increase...
WE ARE ALL CORRECT!!! Although unreallistic it is possible!

Eric,
That's a beautiful Crossfire! Nice job with the tweaks!
Ever had it on a chassis dyno?
Thanks for sharing the pics!

Just like the prowler. It needs a HEMI!!! Dont get me arong,I am a dodge man so seeing that is part of the dodge family. I like it LOL.. But still,it needs a 8 under the hood.

It would be even better with the Hemi. Aluminum block of course!

No thanks....
Dont get me wrong, the Hemi is a great engine and Im also a Dodge/Chrysler fan, but....
Id MUCH rather have the light weight hand built Mercedes AMG engine thats under the hood
3.2L supercharged AMG V6 = 330hp and about 20-27mpg
5.7L Hemi V8 = 345hp and about 16-18mpg
The extra weight of the Hemi about evens it up the power difference.
With the supercharged AMG engine, all you simply have to do is change the pulleys and pcm and you get 40hp more,
which I did

I think the crossfire was the last car that they said would use so many benz parts. I believe this car is almost all benz.

Sorry, gonna show my bias here. but simply the BADDEST mass produced, commercially available naturally aspirated engine is the LS7. GM did their homework on that one. Its divine.
505hp, all aluminum, dry sump. Cam/headers/PCM and you see 600+ with it, and it still nets 30mpg!
7.0L baby! Plus you already get forged/titanium internals. You can open up the GM parts book and simply ORDER it ready to go with harness and computer.

Then I found out that it wouldnt go back into gear until I got below 20mph...so thats why I slowed way down an pulled to the side
Damn Germans, gotta think of everything to make a safe reliable car

I was wondering why you slowed down SO much!!!!!!!

Yeah, that car is the only one that is 98% Mercedes, it is built in Germany using all Mercedes parts...the only thing that makes it Chrysler is the body design and emblems. Every single part on the car has the Mercedes logo on it, even the battery
You'd be suprized how many parts from Mercedes are used on the other cars though....like the transmissions that are in all the Hemi cars, just name one
