squirrellives89 Wrote:bastards!!!!!!!! try any hardware stores? hey it's worth a shot!

everyone has told me that hardware stores don't carry bearings small enough for RCs, and online searches of hardware stores havn't turned up anything either.
that blows! the fate of the sm is hanging in the balance of one bearing!!!! i've run out of suggestions! good luck!
Maybe someone will bring one to Berwyn and you can fix it there.

Im gonna try to find a box, I need to get my stuff together

I'm gonna rip my CVDs apart now, so I can at LEAST run rear wheel drive.
dammit, I was takin apart my front CVDs, so I can run rear wheel drive, everything was goin fine for the first one... second one, the set screw is stripped and stuck in the CVD
gotta love having a supermaxx lol. The main reason i sold mine was because it was constant maitence and replacing parts.

Supermaxxs are awsome IMO, its just stuff like... shims.. and screws... and bearings that never go right for me. The cheap stuff that is really important.

I'm pretty sure im going to send the racer X, limiters & 8mm cvds back to drdex, and sell the rest.

I'll either get an LST or a Revo. Its a tough choice.

I'm thinkin revo due to the options for it.
if you like the truck then keep it. Every truck is gonna have shims, and bearings in it so your not doing anything but just transfering that stuff over to another truck you dont like as much. I would keep the supermaxx if you really like it and just keep working out the bugs. Eventually your gonna hit a sweet spot were you just keep going and it makes everything worth it.

but at least they will be available when I need them.

6 months, and I havn't hit the "sweet spot".
well if your tired of wasting money then get a different truck. You bashing or racing?

mostly bashing, maybe a little racing, but not much at all.
I know what you are going through. I bought the first Run EXT chassis form UE several years ago now and finding the sweet spot was tough and usually just when I found the sweet spot I bought something new for the truck that threw it all off. I just got sick of it all and dumped it all off and went all Kyosho 7.5 lineup.
Rob if you decide to bail on the SM, be sure to let me know. Depending on what you want for it, I'm interested in owning one. I'm about ready for a good winter project. I understand your frustration with the bearings & stuff. My JT Racer with OFNA parts is kinda the same way. I'll keep it around though. I have way more time & energy in it. Big Grin
