I allways wondered what it would be like to replace every part with whats available in aluminum alloy. How much was the stock maxx/after some of the alum. parts/weight of your final vehicle?

If I got all of the alloy INTEGY parts available for the Revo, how much heavier do you guess the truck will be compaired to box stock?
DON"T BUY INTEGAY PARTS! cheap, crappy parts made in china

If you want metal stuff for your revo go with Hardcore. Made in the USA and WAY better parts.

Rob's truck is probably lighter than stock. That is all UE stuff on there, No cheap parts like IntegAy
I agree, integy isn't the best. I used to have their shocks on my savage. BIG mistake.
Integy parts are fine for non critical areas on the Revo like shock mounts, tranny skid plate and things that wear out and have to be replaced periodically anyhow like rear bulkhead braces. Other than that-NO!!!
my whole thing is they copy everyone else product. To boot they have chinese factory workers make their product. This means they save on labor and R&D.

I like work to stay in the USA and I like people who develope their own products.

I don't/won't buy anything integAy ever again! They are a bunch of thieves
there skid plates also suck bruce. Firesprink had bought an integy skid plate for his revo earlier in the year and it lasted i think 3 tanks he said.
Integy uses a real cheap grade alloy...not sure if its even 6061, I think its cast. UE & Hardcore both use 7075 which is lighter, stronger and more expensive.

My Maxx is 9.4 lbs all alum. (mostly 6061 w/ some 7075) I think Robs SM was only around 9 lbs. RTR maybe less (his is mostly 7075)
5 tanks after break in on it, my rear diff is dead, hobby town didnt have any spares, and the bash is in 2 days
5 tanks of backflips!!! Confusedlap: You just couldn't resist could ya!!! What happened??

I was just goin around the backyard this last 2 tanks, getting used to the sporttraxx tires, then I was about to go off the ramp, I hit the gas and I heard a ton of crunching. Rolleyes

maybe I should have gone with UE diffs right off the bat like Tex suggested Sad
ya you should have just gotten the ue diffs. Do you have any stock gears to fix it? If not i think my hobby shop has all the gears if you want me to pick them up for ya
Sorry to hear that....did the screws shear again?? or was it the spider gears??

im not sure yet... as usual, trying to get the skid off so far: 2 rounded hex drivers, 2 stripped scres...
What hex drivers do you use
can a bad bearing in the diff case sound like a broken diff when you hit the gas?
if you need i got a spare maxx diff just sitting around

The diff is fine, a bearing went out.

Does anyone have any bearings, M10x16x5 ?
:joy: At least the diff held up!! Hope you kept track of the shims...they may change w/ new bearings but the way I had it will get you close.
