if those are made by traxxas and are to the t-maxx then yes those are fried, they are supposed to have a gap where they meet.

Looking at a set of un-installed shoes, head on wont tell you much unless the holes are ovaled out. Its the sides that contact the CB that you should be looking at. But if you actually have 7 gallons on them...replace them...they're cheap enough.

I agree, after 7 or 8 gallons, change them out just because.

with alum shoes come more maintinence, if its ur first time using them, I would reccomend frequent checks to see how thye are wearing, along with deburring them etc. you dont want ur alum. clutch binding up on u from excessive wear

i was told to stay away from alum shoes because i would be replacing clutchbells more often, are the benefits work it or not?1

I've never replaced a CB because of aluminum shoes. As long as you do the maint. required and don't let the shoes burr up the CB will last a very long time.

what motor you getting? BTW I saw a 9.5 whippin' some ass at the cash race last Sunday. He finished 2nd in the a-main against 30 people total.

oh yeah go ofna!!!!! j/k don't know yet. i don't think my driving ability would be up to par with getting a rb ws7 II, probably just gonna get a really nice .21 like a picco or something. the motor i have ran really good before the mishaps!

why not get a Novarossi .21BF econo. It's a 3port design like your last motor and runs awesome for only $200. That's a good price for a good motor

i've heard nothing but good about novarossi's! so i've been looking at those and some others! i got awhile before i buy one though, next camp isn't for awhile, for liesure i'm just gonna get a new p/s for the omega. speaking of which you know where i can find one?

don't get me wrong i love the motor, i just want to use it as a back-up/bash motor, and get something just a little faster. when tony gets back you have to see that boy drive on a track with his ws7 II it's funny. thanks for the help tex
