Burned out?
#1
I know I'm a burnout but that's not what this is about Wink

I think I may be burned out with my RC hobby. I don't feel like maintaining them at all and really I could care less about bashing or racing anymore. I wonder if this is my "peak" or "rock bottom" in the hobby. I feel kinda burned out on it lately. Plus even after getting a job recently, I still have no money (I was making about the same amount on unemployment). Basically I have two race RC's and no will or money to maintain/race them.

Have any of you guys ever felt like getting out of the hobby, seriously?

YEP, Take a month off and dont even touch your stuff. By then the LH track will open and you will be surprised at how quick you get addicted again. I was like you last year. took some time off and just starting playing back at LH and the fire reignited. Just dont do anything silly like sell your stuff or anything, as you know you will lose you a$$

yeah it happens. I'd put the RC's away and just chill for a bit. Really if it wasn't for the landmax and the large parking lots around me and hours of running I do with it on the weekends I'd probably have sold all my stuff off by now and actually I'm still contemplating selling everyhting but the Landmax and the Mini-t.

Don't sell everything off completely unless you are very sure though. If you take a bit of time off and end end up 4 months from now still not touching them sure sell them off but for now the most I'd do is just shelf them or possible sell the revo off and just keep the Mugen. the Mugen will still be a good race buggy if you get back into it later while a Revo may or may not be competetive because the MT market changes soo fast.

Sometimes taking some time off, even from a hobby can be very good. Don't sell everything off though. You never know when the bug will bite again.

Thanks for the quick responces and good advice guys!

I think I will take a few months off starting in November. I want to finish of the DD's race season that I paid for.

I go through that, especially when I've spent more money than I should have.
