Has anyone else noticed that there is a clique forming again at LHR? It seems that if you don't go out to your car to drink or "smoke" between rounds you are not accepted there. Also heaven forbid if you are there only to watch as that really gets you shunned. I can't believe it's happening at such a top notch track that is hosting a roar national level event. Maybe the swelled heads should step back and see whats happening there.

First, introducing yourself would be a great help with others being able to help adress what's going on here. A brand new member coming on here, ranting in their first 2 posts generally won't be taken well.

Second, I do not believe this at all... Every time I have been to leisure, you can pretty much approach any and every one and start a convo and be okay with them... God knows I do not smoke or drink, but really, do people go drink between rounds now? lol

And third, I haven't seen problems with spectators EVER.




Maybe this is just a time for a look in the mirror? lol Nothin personal here, just saying from personal experience.

I'm with Ponch on this one. I've never seen people drink at the track. I don't think it's even allowed. Also, spectators have always been welcome when I was racing. LHR has always been a blast for me. Good racing, good friends there.

Well,maybe you are not watching close enough. There are several who go out between rounds to their vehicles and either drink or "smoke". I wont name names, they know who they are. This is a similar situation as that occured when the track was in crest hill.

If there is illegal activity bring it up to management...would be a shame for the place to be shut down...and I am sure management would want to know before the police arrive to take a look.

lol this is funny who cares if somebody wants to drink or smoke inbetween race rounds there probably grown men and if your watching people that close that you notice this then you have issues. like o my god I'm totaly following this guy out side to see what hes up to... wow i know were playing with toys but are we still kids... this is suppose to be fun but shit like this is why people cant get along mind your buisness. You do not have to "follow" anyone anywhere as you can smell the booze on them when they come back inside. This is supposed to be something you can get kids into. So do your boozing and other things somewhere else.

I asked which days you raced and you didn't respond but then go into a reprimand with a knee jerk reaction?

this isn't about the Joliet track and anything the management should be reacting to.

You are wanting to stir the pot for no reason at all.

That's not fair to their facility or their racing program.

Listen up racer90. At every event I have ever been too, drinking and illegal drug use is prohibited. You need to bring this to the attention of the track owner, not here. Go find Bernie at LHR and talk to him.

This thread is closed for further discussion. I just don't see this as having a happy ending as you're simple ignoring the other members questions and just badmouthing and ranting about LHR. I'm friends with the owner and staff there, and I assure you they don't approve or condone this type of behavior.
