Is my OWB shot?
#1
Something is wrong, it's like I hit the roto start and the engine barely tuns over one time and then it just spins. Sometimes it works just fine though? Is it my OWB or the roto start?

That would be your OWB. Very common to blow one out with the rotostarter. You could try heating up that area a little with a blow dryer. Sometimes that can help. Seems like a warm OWB works better than a cold one.

Depends..... Is this on the Sportwerks? If so, with the Mach .26, it is a common occurance. It has an internal oneway bearing, which can get overlogged with oil. There are 2 ways to cure this....

1. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to preheat the engine. This will get it warm enough, and the oneway will catch. Once you start running it, the heat produced from running it will be enough for you to re-start it each time for the rest of the day.

2. You can "Force flood" the engine... Take the pressure line off the exhaust, hold the carb open, and blow into the pressure line, till you see fuel entering the engine (Let a little fuel get into the engine, you want it FLOODED) Remove your Glow plug, and bump the rotostart a couple times. The alchohol in the fuel cleans out the oneway. Then flip it over, with the plug out, and hit the rotostart again, blowing out the extra fuel. replace the plug, and start it up...

This problem has happened on a few Mach's that I know of, Mr.Tune's as well.

Oh the Mayhem OWB isin't on the back? I'll try heating it up with a blow dryer. What if I flood the engine with WD40?

Don't use WD-40, since that is an oil also... It is best to just use the fuel. I have used both methods (Flooding and Heat) with great results.

Should I get a new one though? Would it help?

I would think a new one way would also cure the problem, and would probably be the best method. Expensive though

The heat worked but I couldn't get it started.
