From what I've experienced, running it hot before it's ready will get you great performance but will shortoen the life of your mill. The first place it seems to show is the bushing on the con rod. The truth is somewhere in the middle. GET IT HOT FAST BUT NOT TO HOT, THEN KEEP IT THERE. Every motor like a little different temp. My Radical seems happiest at 200 to 220. But I had a picco that ripped around 260. The hard part is having the patience with a good mill. They just take longer but pay off by lasting longer. I've been fascinated by the theory of breaking in at WOT but I don't have the ballz to try it.

getting your motor up to 200 and heat cycle it at least twice this will let the motor expand if you dont the pinch will be way too much and youll never get the most performance and life out of it. you cant just say run 6 tanks and its broke in. let the motor cool down and when you can turn the flywheel over by hand it is broke in. ive been using a breakin stand just because i think its easier and the mess on a bench is easier to clean the the whole oiled down car. and wrap the head to get the temp up and run it rich
