Go to St Charles fly-in next weekend for Giant planes. Should be cool.
The field is off Rt38 and Peck road (west of Randall).
$5 gets you in.

And I'm fairly certain he's no where near 100% on the throttles.
we watched the RC Jets in St Charles last year and they had a 200 mph speed limit at that field because of the surrounding area. The pilots there said many of their planes hit 300mph. Not scale 300mph...actual!

At 200mph those little jets clicked by in a blink of an eye, nearly too fast to photograph! It cool stuff if you have several thousand dollars just laying around!

I think those jet engines cost like 3,500 by themselves... And i think you need a license to buy them...

yeah i wouldnt want to be that guy holding the nose on the front of that plane with that huge needle. One slip of the throttle and its an instant vasectomy!

I was talking to a guy at the flying field over the summer .
He said you have to be licensed and insured to buy them. he did say the engine was over 3g.
And that it was capable of flying at speeds of 350 + mph
