(the RTR’s never have the titanium turn buckles, so that is a one clue, and the RTR’s don’t normally have CF parts on them) :p:

the gear mesh is much better resulting in less wear on the drive train and plus the same parts will be interchangable when they build the truggy resulting in lower costs for the consumer
