I have been at Palace but it gets a bit pricy if you are there for a long time. They have the nicest tables though. I think I am going to be at the Green Room more now though. Everything is cheaper, and the tables aren't too much worse. The house cues are what's bad there..... but that's not a problem anymore. :-D

I'll gladly help out when you want to re-tip the cue.

The Trick with the Joss, is to scuff the tip. In the smaller pocket on the case, there is a gold thing. Take the cover off, and use that to rough up the tip. (Just tap the points on the tip a few times), or youi can use the shaper to scuff it a bit. Once you get used to it, you will notice, that with a good follow through, you can get more spin, with using LESS english with the Joss.

I've met a lot of great pool players in my days. I've never met a great pool player who was a great lover of women however.

Too much time at the tables equals too little time with the ladies. I'm an OK pool player. A much better lover....

That video has to be the smallest room with a pool table in it ever!

That's why he's so good at masse shots...his cue HAS to be so vertical.

Bruce scares me.

And is his point void when your main pool partner is a smokin' red head?? She's not even that bad at pool! LoL

Anyway, I am still trying to find my shot again. It just isn't coming back as easily as I had hoped it would. Slowly but surely. Lots of $1 9-ball and cuthroat games with my poor friends tonight. I made money so I guess I won more than I lost. Still trying to get the hang of this Joss as well. (When to prick the tip, how much, when to scuff it.... yadda yadda yadda.) I haven't scuffed it, pricked it a few times, and chalk before every shot. At least today I was really able to tell the difference with the english that the Joss put on the ball over the Players. Oh well..... At least I can suck at pool in style. ;-)

OK first things first, I was at one time very good at pool, not so much anymore, I hit that wall where your good but not really good, and it takes constant practice everyday to get REALLY GOOD. anyways, I'd be willing to bet that if you put his ass on a regular 9' table and told him to do it all agian he wouldn't be able to do it. Reason being... That table was fickin tiny, smaller that a bar box, and the felt was like carpet, was it wasn't hard to get jumps, crazy backspin, and quick stops. If you pay attention he rails the ball and it goes nowhere. Put him on a regular 9' table with simonis cloth and he'd never get it right. That and alot of those shots are locked ball shots, once you pick up pool you learn that a locked balls only go in one direction when hit.

Also I've go a predator 5k1, predator break stick, the 5k1 has the 314 shaft (unilock)and I also have the z shaft (unilock), a predator leather case, and a jump stick, I'd like to sell. if anyones interested also Why don't you go to pyraimid club? Too young?

Yes and No... A locked ball shot will only go one way, if there is little or no english on the Cue ball. It is possible, by putting too much english on a shot to actually "throw" the ball off course. If you doubt this, Freeze 2 balls together, and hit the shot with a lot of right hand english. Watch the path of the balls. Then set the shot up exact, and hit it with a lot of Left hand english. The balls will hit in a different spot.

Watch the "Trick shot" competitions when they are on. MOST of those shots are "Locked ball" shots, but they do miss. Partly due to bad setup, partly due to a bad hit on the cue.

agreed But I try as much as possible to stay away for english as much as possible. Its to hard to manage and control well. Though an englished backspin is very handy.

I played APA league for 5 years at the City Pool Hall downtown. Great 8-9 foot brunswick IV tables felts always clean and there are always hustlers about. I played with a Pechauer Pro Hustler 19oz (looks like a sneaky pete) Rosewood framed by ebiny points cost me $280 just for the cue. I loved it and broke the shaft in a fit of range while battling it out for Playoff points at the end of the season to go to the Challenge of Champions.
