Sounds too good to be true....And sounds like it won't work but hey, whatever... IDK we'll have to wait for reviews.

Very Cool. HPI said its probably not legal. If its cheap enough, maybe I'll get my friend to get one so he stops wrecking his RS4 all the time!

Its a cool idea but it will be horrible for people that run that D box all the time because they will be crappy drivers and not know how to handle the Rc in loose conditons without it. Traciton control and stability control does the same to people driving 1:1's.. now days people don't know when to countersteer or hardly drive at all when the need uprises in slick conditons. Sad really..

I still remember some of the first magazine reviews of new cars that came with Stability Control, especially the C5 Corvette. I believe it was that car that had a warning comment in the manual, something like:

While Stability Control systems can assist in correcting speed and direction of the vehicle, it cannot overcome the laws of physics associated with traction and momentum. Do not rely on Stability Control systems to correct for conditions that exceed the limits of tire traction.

Or something like that....good lawyer wrote that.... he must have been around that case where the RV owner put on Cruise Control and went in back to make a sandwich ("The manual didn't say I couldn't").

This HPI thing is nothing new....It's actually a gyro system that has been used in R/C Heli's for awhile. I think the original piece is made by Futaba for half the price. It's exactly the same and I'm pretty sure HPI just rebadged it. I looked at both and the HPI branded one is exactly the same as the Futaba but for 40 bucks more or something.
