So, how was the carpet track?

it was ok cept, no jumps. I thought it was going to be an indoor offroad carpet but it's geared more for the rs4 and xray mini onroads.
That's a good choice for LHR to make too cuase there was like 10 guys there with onroads and about 3 with offroads. It'll be a way more stable racing scene if it's a flat track.

John said for racing trucks they were going to have some small humps they woudl put onto the track. I guess for open practice that might be a bit rough on the sedans! Still sounds like fun. No problems with freq's with both tracks running?

I talked to them about it last night. There are removable jumps that can be added/removed quickly so the off-road guys have something to jump for their heats/mains and the on-road guys have a smooth track for their heats/mains. Smile

Anybody know if there are different classes for mini's(Brushless or reg.) or is it just an open class?

I'm sure it'll be different. They can't race mini RS4's against stock mini-t's

No, I meant motors per class. I've never raced, not sure how it works so bare with me. For example 4 guys with mini trucks, 1 mamba, 3 non brushless
Will they run an open class?
Does'nt seem fair. is it driving skills that are gonna make a differance not motors?

You gotta believe there will be stock and mod. It's never gonna be perfect, though.

Sorry if I got in the way of anybodies truck/buggy. I had the Steering return spring snap on the R-1, which made steering VERY difficult. I was going to send it in to JR and have it fixed, but through a little research, I found out that the steering spring is a common problem on the R-1. I ended up using a pen spring to replace the original. It's a little stronger, and I shouldn't have that problem again.

i tried driving my miniquake on that track yesterday, and man did i suck at driving! I can barley handle my storm on the off-road track. but i had a decent time.

hey Frankie, you were the kid with the dyed hair? I was the dude with the black leather jacket, I had my daughter and little brother out there.

It's going to come down to driving skill more than what motor you bring. You can't utilize the power of a brushless/lipo'd mini out there, not enough space. Basically a stock RC18b had too much power.
