Your 1:1 car
Its funny cause in 20 years from now our kids are going to be having this same discussion except theres will be how their hybrid/ electric /solar powered/turd recycling/ parallel parking on it own cause there all dumbasses, cars are better than our "crap" we have today or the "crap" my parents had..

just get a vette and be done with it. Price for performance its the best buy on the market. Very fuel efficent also for a v8. 18mpg city. A stage 3 Rousch stang is the closest to being dead even in speed, turns. Only problem is the stang weighs close to 500 pounds more and gets about 8mpg.

Yeah.... OK. Rolleyes I don't consider price for performance new. I consider price for performance vs. reliability modded. If I can mod a car to be faster than a vette and cheap, and still have it be a reliable daily driver, then that is what I will own. Plus I would much rather have a car that I had to work to make what it is.... not show off a paycheck in a vette.

The thing is the stock zo6 vette doesnt have to be modded in order to hang with the modded cars. I read in road and track I think were they tested the newer cars like a stage 3 rousch, zo6, GTO, and I cant remember the other one.

The stang was pushing 500hp and had all suspension upgrades, brakes, wheels, ect. The GTO was stock besides some new springs and tires. The zo6 was bone stock besides a tire change. Head to head on the track, drag the vette hands down was just better. Stang weighed the most, I think the vette was 2nd but it was close between that and the GTO.

My point being why not keep the stock car that is just as fast as the modded car and when you do decide to upgrade it then imagine what kind of power it would be making. Even if you kept it stock its still as fast and most times better then any new car. Might cost a lot for the innitial purchase but you know you wont have to do anything to be competitive.

I like vettes, and stangs dont get me wrong. Im just saying id rather have the stock car thats as good as a heavily modded car so when/if you upgrade it then it should be one bad ass ride.

What about a Supra?? Nowhere near a vette in stock performance, but a properly modded supra vs. a properly modded vette and the supra will kill the vette. I don't think I will see cars from the home schooled point of view.

well one thing we can all agree on is the modding never ends and theres always another mod that can make your car slightly better but it doesnt mean shit if you cant drive it. Drive what you like and learn how to drive it to its limits and then go looking to take on somebody.

I believe the fastest "street Legal" supra is in the 8's... but the fastest Modded "street legal" ZO6 is running 7's though..

I'd rather not build a Vette.. 96% of Vette owners are stuffy old men that are more interested in buying Corvette logo clothing, chairs, patches, parts, photos.. ect. Just can't handle being associated with that crowd. I'd gladly take an engine from a C6 Zo6.. It would drop right into my car take me from my current 12.60's.. to probably 10's with the right setup.

thats straight line racing only though.. all round driving title has to go to the TT ford GT!!!

Yup.. it was in gear when the kid started it and the car just rode off through the garage.

TT GT Vid is just sic.. Goosebumps every time I watch that one. Its a stock GT with just 2 turbos in place of the Blower and a good tune.. thats it!

i think i pee'd a little the first time they dynoed it! It even sounds like it has power, its gotta be crazy drivin that; id prolly end up dead in a couple days with it
