hpi .15????
#4
HPI does have an engine that has a carbide coated sleeve, which makes it feel like it has very little pinch. My .12RSS has one. Be sure which engine you have before junking it. Does it run?

Info from HPI site:

Our new 12R line of engines uses a high-tech Nickel-Silicon Carbide coating that is being used in many high performance applications by companies like Jaguar. The Nickel bonds to the surface, the silicon lubricates, and the carbide gives extremely long wear. The new Carbide coating in the HPI 12R SS and 12R SC engines, you will see many improvements over standard chrome coatings:

2 to 10 times more durable than chrome
50% higher heat capacity
Superior lubrication retention
Better for the environment (no mercury is used during manufacturing)
got paint?
