G/D, that is a lot of typing to read, but I did, just to see how the story would end.
Is this guy like 17 years old, or is he a seriously retarded/spoiled brat?
There is so much junk in this story... is the girlfriends child his?
How does a $6/hr guy afford a trip to Vegas, unless he doesn't plan on getting a room or eating.
All in all, if I were in your position, I would just distance myself from the guy and his problems. Why burden your mind with the injustices your company allows this guy? It only makes you feel bad. It like getting angry when someone cuts you off in traffic. You get mad and they just go about their merry way. They are wrong and we get high blood pressure.
I'm not telling you what to do, but what I would do, is let it go and ignore the guy until he finally flames out of the place.
