Surprise! Shock oil wts not the same...

I'm sure many of you know this but many RC shock oil weights are way off as to their true viscosity ratings. Just like motor HP ratings, there is no standard yet. Unlike SAE ratings for oil viscosity in autos where a 10w/30 by Havoline is the same as Pennzoil, RC oil weights are not the same.

I've noticed that Mugen 50 weight is nothing like Trinity 50 weight. This article explains more: http://www.twf8.ws/new/tech/tip/shock.html

Keep in mind when racing at LH this winter to use a lighter weight oil as the air temp will be very cold at track level.
