You're kinda making sound like he was racing a 4 cylinder minitruck instead of a Lightening theremash: Wasn't there a Toyo Tires sponsored 911 (I think it was a 993 which should have been the last of the original 911 platform IIRC) that not only ran those kind of times and speeds in the quarter but would also carry the front tires for most if not all of the first 60' on Toyo road race tires.

He did the right thing he chirped the tires twice to scuff of the rubber and clean the contact patches. Thats all a street tire needs.
Unless they're Wrangler RT/S tires, I hear that's the only way to get any traction from those:eek:
