If the engine is front mounted and transverse then its most likely going to be a front split system by default, it can be biased to the rear but most of the time they are biased to the front.
Lamborghini and Porsche use a rear biased system that only engages the fronts when the rear begins to slip. The Nissan Skyline system is like this too, as well as some Audi's.
