The ez start is great for learning how to tune your motor. If you can tune decent, then switch to pull start and loose the excess weight. If you are learning, especially if its your first 2.5, keep it for a while and get to know your motor. I just took mine off my .21 and I miss the convenience, but not the weight. The S-maxx is a great truck and you will be more than impressed with it.
Being 2WD is great for racing, but if you do more bashing you will want to upgrade to 4WD in the future. Should be cheap upgrade givin the nice people around here, I will help you if I can when the time comes (if ever) you want to go that route.

You should buy that Venom gauge from Tex, thats a sweet price on a great piece of equipment, and get the fuel locally. That will help you save some $$$ and get you well started.
